michele j. • August 15, 2011Hidden from view from the rest of the park, this well planned and lush area provides a respite from the rest of the busy park!
Arin C. • April 4, 2013Picnic tables along the water was a genius idea. It's so good I'd worry about people getting addicted to picnicking here.
Carol S. • February 20, 2017Terrific park with a fabulous view of Lower Manhattan. There are numerous playgrounds for all age children. Each is fenced & grouped by activity type. The age appropriate years are posted at each.
etta y. • August 27, 2014Love jogging here. Just avoid Smorgasburg Sundays and keep in mind there is no shade on hot, super-sunny days. Clean bathrooms just off the path closer to DUMBO are a godsend.
Pieter 😜 D. • June 6, 2019Bring/find some chalk and write down your favorite Beastie Boys lyric in honor of MCA. “See I’ve got heart like John Starks / hitting mad sparks / pass me the mic and I’ll be rocking the whole park.”
Kimmie O. • July 26, 2020Such a beautiful park. You’ll always have breathtaking waterfront views of NYC. Lots of grassy area for picnics. Plenty of things to do here. Certain piers have designated sports sections.
Aleksey P. • April 13, 2013An area for fishing equipped with four bait preparation tables and fish cleaning stations is located at the western edge of the pier.
Compass • April 21, 2014The rolling, pet-friendly greenspace is beloved by dog lovers and those that just love watching them play.
Anthony R. • April 21, 2013If you sprinkle a bit of sand on the slide right before going down it goes extra fast!
Kaushal A. • September 25, 2012The park has awesome swings! Do not enter if you are not with a kid else you might draw uncomfortable attention.
Nicolas P. • May 13, 2014Is all good! Love the little houses and the wind cover, grate and relax for you and the kids.
Bridget Q. • November 21, 2015I tried this morning, in vain, to find the entrance to this "park". Any help?
Rahel W. • August 15, 2010Don't hang in this park after dusk. They are hard core about enforcing parks close at dusk law. Will get ticketed.
NYC Parks • February 10, 2013Hillside Park lives up to its name. Heights residents should bring the sleds here on snowy days.
