✨Elizabeth✨ F. • June 11, 2020My favorite neighborhood park to walk the dog, take in a beautiful view of the city, or just have a picnic with friends in the grass.
ᴡ M. • December 28, 2015A great spot with a wonderful view of the city. A very well kept secret if you ask me!
Aiden M. • February 16, 2013Love this park not just for my buddy to be able to play with other mid to large size dogs but both my boys love exploring the trails in the back and across the street...
Alison L. • November 15, 2010Great place to bring a picnic lunch and listen to the bells chime on the quarter hours from the Museum of Man ( w/c you can see in the distance)
Miriam G. • August 14, 2014Easily the best way to get from one end of the park to the other. Also a lovely way.
Paul H. • March 25, 2013You can't see animals, but it's a great way to travel back to the front of the park.
Peter C. • October 11, 2014Very clean and has the friendliest keepers to answer your questions. Together with the Safari Park it is the best Zoo in the US, if not the world. Wear comfortable shoes. Check the map ahead of time.
Dan L. • March 19, 2011Park on the street where you can keep an eye on your car. My car was stolen at around 7pm on 3/18 here from the parking lot.
Aliza C. • March 25, 2012Sundays are busy with families...get to the park by noon to find parking easily
Kristen • January 14, 2014..And the cafe at the Friendship Garden is the only affordable place to eat in all of Balboa Park. Their courtyard is a perfect meeting place as well.
@socalwithkids • August 6, 2011The carousel was built in 1910 by the Herschell Spillman Co, & it’s one of the few operational carousels of it’s kind. There's a fun plane/butterfly ride next to the carousel as well. More info below.
K12 Inc • July 6, 2011Did you know? Like the zoo, and other museums in Balboa Park, the Museum of Man began as “The Story of Man through the Ages,” an exhibit at San Diego's 1915 Panama-California Exposition.
Kali L. • September 29, 2012Make sure to take the pedestrian bridge across Park Blvd and visit the Rose Garden... Yum!
