Badges 101
Being the adventurous foursquare user you are, no doubt you've unlocked some of the badges we've created for you.
While some are straightforward, others may be a little more cryptic... don't be afraid to ask your pals (or Twitter!) for help.
Some of the foursquare badges are defined by our "venue tags" - the tags you can give a place to describe the type of things you'll find there. Common tags? Fireplace, pool table, jukebox, margaritas, photobooth, darts, models, frat boys, etc. For example, look at the tags for Lakeside Lounge in NYC or search your city for a photobooth.
Anyone can add these tags and we need your help to make some of the badges unlockable.
For example, to unlock the "karaoke" badge, you'll need to check-in to places that are tagged "karaoke". To unlock our "gym rat" badge, you'll need to visit places that are specifically tagged "gym".
So this is where we ask for your help... here are a few tags we've been wanting to use for current / future badges and we'd be eternally grateful if you could help tag up some of your favorite places with the types of things you can find there.
