While the Garden View rooms are away from the main building, they are quiet and if you can score a room that has views of the bay, you'll love it.

If the weather isn't too hot, it's an easy walk to the Magic Kingdom. If you take the resort monorail, you'll have a couple of stops since it goes in the other direction.

One of the best resorts at Disney! Love it here, the pool is wonderful with the waterslide, there is also a quiet pool for adults. Be sure to check out chef Mickeys, I love it here! I'll be back!

Even if you can't get to the roof bar, the observation deck has many different places to view the Magic Kingdom fireworks from.

Just an absolute beautiful hotel and resort to stay at. I've stayed here 3 times and they've all been amazing. Love the monorail traveling through the hotel.

Hotel itself if just okay. Definitely not the most interesting or the best in Disney. Fireworks up in California Grill. Turkey BLT from the cafe is great. Definitely walking to Magic Kingdom tomorrow!

Like I said the lobby smells fantastic. Food is great. The Wave & Chef Mickey's are both Table Service restaurants. Delicious. And the have a HOT TUB AT THE POOL!! Such a perk. Beautiful views too! 

Great views of Magic Kingdom's fireworks and less than ten minutes walk to the park. The monorail goes through the main building to take you to any of the parks.

Easy INDOOR access to the monorail and a character dinner are home to the Contemporary. You'll also want to take the bathroom home with you! Great for families :)

The veggie flatbread available at the Contempo Cafe is one of the best quick-service items I've had at Walt Disney World.

Take a monorail hotel hopping tour from here to Polynesian & Grand Floridian! (Esp. fun during the holidays when decorations are up at all the resorts)

Reserve the character breakfast early before your trip because there was a wait list for it when I tried to make reservations last minute at check-in!

If you can afford to, stay at the Atrium Club Level (12th fl) facing Magic Kingdom side. Best view of Magic Kingdom and the fireworks. Enjoy all the amenities during your stay in the lounge.

If you stay here don't take the monorail to Magic Kingdom it travels away from the Magic Kingdom. Walking to the park is much quicker.

Don't stay here for luxury or fantastic service. This place is run by college interns who are very quick to answer, "I don't know." However, the 30 second monorail ride home from MK is priceless!

Make sure you are staying in the main building. The smaller buildings are far away and not as nice. Plus you miss the monorail and great views.

California Grill on the top of the resort is one of the best on property if you don't mind pricy sit down food.
  • Miranda O.
Cocktail hour at The Wave on the first floor has virtually no children, it's a nice break from all of "the magic" to relax over some great drinks.

Contemporary and Polynesian were the only two hotels on Disney property when I was a kid (80s) and in my opinion, still the top place to shack up!

Café Contempo on the 4th floor (below monorail access) makes for a decent quick lunch without a lot of fuss. A good afternoon stop if you've just arrived for a stay here, and open 'til midnight!

Apparently if you're a cast member or visitor you can't park here just to get coffee. I love contemporary grounds, but I won't be parking at MK and monorailing it over to do so. It's unfortunate.

Want a quiet place to sit on the beach and enjoy Bay lake? Head to the "hidden beach" at the very end of the building. There is never anyone there and it is very quiet!
