Normally Joel Rubchon is not a place to go for a first date but this place is nice and casual during lunch time. You will certainly impress her with this choice. It's a classy yet fun cafe to be in.

Sometimes they're closed because of an event. It does double as a rock club after all. It's also hidden in the residential streets of Roppongi.

This is less of an izakaya, more of a 1 Michelin star restaurant, that has adopted izakaya format, just for the sake of it. Gaijin infested and expensive, yet still totally worth it!
Great sushi but very long waiting! I think you can get similar quality at Tsukiji Sushiko chain but cheaper and faster!
Save yourself a 3-hour wait at Sushi Dai and eat here instead. The line is much shorter, but most tourists don't know because it's just a few steps further down the alley (btw buildings 6 and 7).
