Pineapple cakes and cranberry cakes are sooooo good here. The wife cakes are flaky and have a chewy mochi interior. They were ok. You can also mix flavors for gift boxes :) It gets busy so come early
Sushi bar is a must. They have fatty tuna from Japan. Skip the prepackaged sushi. Quality isn't anywhere close.
Stand up noodle shop. Remember to add the garlic, vinegar and chilli to you bowl of noodles. Best eaten on a cold day.
Black sugar bubble milk (not tea) drink stand near the university. Boba is sweet and chewy. Can add green beans and grass jelly. Definitely worth the long wait. NT$35 a cup.

A branch of jinfeng braised pork rice in Ximending. They have almost the same taste compare with the original one but cheaper. Come give it a try if you are around Ximen area.
This place is awesome-- make sure to get my fave here the Shanghai style fried pork buns. I also really liked the fried fish in sweet sauce and the XLB with pork and crab roe.
It's not Singapore, but it's pretty damn tasty. Chicken is tender and whatever that green sauce is amazing. Very crowded at meal times, but line moves fast.
Call a few weeks ahead to make your reservation. All the beef here is incredible. Service is also great and helpful! One of the top restaurants in Taipei that I've been to.
