Joel M.Joel Marc: A great stop on a tour of Atlanta. The house dates back to the late 19th century. There is still a gas lit lamp post in the frontyard!

HISTORYHISTORY: This was the home of Joel Chandler Harris, author of Uncle Remus stories, from 1881 until 1908. The museum opened in 1913, Harris' room is almost completely untouched to this day aside from cleaning.
