Amazing atmosphere! You can stop at the bar and take in your favorite cocktail! Assigned seating and the reclining chairs are very comfortable.

I may never visit another theatre in this city! Those recliners are awesome...but don't come after a big meal or long day, you might fall asleep :)

This theater was opened in 1968 and was originally called Loew's Tara. It was named after Tara Plantation which was the fictional home of Scarlett O'Hara in Margaret Mitchell's 'Gone With the Wind'.
One of the best places in ATL to watch an independent flick. Popcorn is pretty tasty as well!
Recently completed renovated. Now you have huge recliners (you can put your feet up), a full bar and a bowling alley 🎳 that was added recently. Great place to hang out with Amigos and have a beer.

If you arrive less than 10 minutes before the movie, just sit in the front and shut up. Staring at the good seats isn't going to magically turn back time and get you there on-time.
Went to see Cairo Time, beautiful and bittersweet. Brought back wonderful memories of Egypt.

The Plaza Theatre is Atlanta's oldest continuously operating cinema; it opened in 1939 as an art deco theatre and then was an X-rated adult cinema & live burlesque show in the '70s (until 1983).

The VIP theaters are nice. Reasonable menu with cocktails. The seats also recline.
You can validate 2 hours off your parking right before you exit the cinema to head downstairs. Just look for people qeueing up near the exits at a time stamping machine.
Sit in the front row of the second section so you can put your feet up on the railing.
This is one of the few (only?) e⁰lectric vehicle charging stations in southwest Atlanta. Good luck actually parking near one though. Not everyone respects EV dedicated parking yet.
The kiosks in the entryway are a convenient way to avoid the ticket line, but they will NOT give you the $5.00 Tuesday discount. Go to the box office / concession stand for that.
Since their pandemic shutdown, the service is terrible. Surly teenagers on the front lines with indifferent managers backing them up. I recommend going to any other theater than this one.
My kids love this museum, its a family favorite.
Under the Sea is beautiful and fascinating! I just found out the Sea Snake is 10x more venomous than a King Cobra. Cool, huh?! :)
