After visiting Middleton Place, Penelope went to Circa 1886 for Plantation Rice Rolls. A nod to Charleston's past, made from rice flour & served with whipped olive oil. A delicious starter.
Ideal for a romantic meal for two. The menu tends toward gamier options like antelope loin with chick pea barigoule, olive oil cured olives and feta, a nod to the region's hunting traditions. Read more.
It's "fancy" Italian. Not exactly the comfort food you might expect, but delicious nonetheless. Enjoy the olive & cheese starter, the blue cheese pesto bucatini, and the seasalt chocolate panacotta

Outstanding! I tried all the mezze. You must try the whipped feta. The crispy stuffed olives and bacon wrapped dates are fantastic. If you're looking for a sandwich, the sabich is out of this world.
I rate this restaurant AAA. Try the Short Ribs, and if they have the sautéed stuffed quail appetizer...go for it. Deserts are great too 👍👍👍
Lovely setting, great bar & drink list, and delicious food. If you're uncertain, ask your waiter for a recommendation.
Best Italian in Chs. Shepherd's salad is a delicious mix of flavors. Shrimp & gnocchi are the Al Di La classic.
