Good set of short trails, beautiful lake. Often on a Sunday morning you can sit and watch a cricket match.
10 miles of trails and lots of creeks and forest. like going to the mts without the drive.

Great for walking, running, riding bikes. Mix of dirt path, paved, and boardwalk through wetlands hidden amongst the neighborhoods of southern Charlotte. Careful: the boardwalk is slippery after rain!

Neat place to bring the kids. Have a variety of animals for them to see and a few activities that kids will enjoy. We went on the lizard, snake, turtle day and it was worth it.
Make sure to check out the outdoor natural playscape area and explore the wonders and simplicity of natural play. It's beautiful! You can also meet and greet backyard animals like oppossum & more.
Runners, be sure to run the beautiful Little Sugar Creek Greenway. South to McDowell, east one block, then south on E. 3rd St. Just past I-277 you'll see the trail. Enjoy!

Wonderful park... the best we have found in Charlotte so far. This side of the park has a small fenced play area for younger kids.

The "sidewalk" around the lake is all rocks and very uncomfortable to walk on!
