New York Habitat: On those days when you're craving Ukranian food, come here. Potato pancakes and stuffed cabbage, oh my. Get the borscht too, it's as authentic as it gets.

Robin: Skip Zum Schneider and go here for a warm, uncrowded and authentic experience. It feels like you're in another country (Serbia!). The burger is atypical, with delicious red cabbage and onions.

New York Habitat: This authentic Greek restaurant tucked away in the East Village makes for a great dinner spot. Be sure to make reservations though as seating can be limited, especially on weekends.
Douglas Elliman: A cozy spot in the East Village. We find the authenticity of this rustic, home cooking styled menu very comforting. We recommend the octopus! It’s outstanding.
