God yes, if you like Greek and seafood - this is definitely the place. Get that warm pita, add some octopus and a whole fish, divine darling. Love it.

The Best Japanese Restaurant in Town. Down to earth, great fresh food, friendly staff. Highly recommended, wild shrimp tempura, miso soup and tiger roll :))
My new go-to sushi spot. The fish is so fresh and for the price, it's unbelievable. The sea urchin hand roll, baby yellowtail, and salmon are all to die for. Also, jack is the man!!
This place has fantastic food for good prices! Skewer variety + sushi sashimi combo for two + single unagi roll each was perfect for two. Most of all amazing vibes- the staff is great
Crazy good, probably the most interesting meal I had in NY so far. Octopus, tartare were great and the pork noodle stuff for 2 people was amazing
Snow crab noodles and beef entrees with a bottle of wine were fantastic - perfect for a special date or a special occasion.
Went here for Christmas Day dinner and did the full duck and fried rice. Absolutely amazing - we got the ox tail spring rolls, octopus, and fried chicken (complements of the chefs) ahead of the dinner
Tried all the sides & my fav was the rice pilaf - also liked the scallop, white bean & arugula app - the beet salad was great as well.
Possibly one of the top meals I've had in the city. Not only is the decor beautiful, but the food and wine are top notch. I highly recommend the octopus and the lamb chops. My compliments to the chef!
I've gone here a few times a year for the last 5 years or so. always a great experience. My personal favorites are the lamb shank and the scallop and shrimp pasta with egg noodles.

Go with one or two friends and order the $50 big board to split a feast of cured meats, preserved fish, cheese, and accompaniments. Canned seafood is also high quality and reasonably priced.
Nice place for a casual beer or glass of wine. I really enjoyed the fish spread as well.

Ginger scallion noodles are my go to...everytime! All apps are awesome, kimchi jar, pork (shrimp for me must have), roasted rice cakes are also amazing!

To start, I highly recommend Kusshi and Kumamoto oysters, avocado king crab roll and Black Cod appetizer. Also, you'll never go wrong with omakase.
The folks at Kanoyama are a head above the rest, with specials like hamachi carpaccio with yuzu juice and sea salt, sea conch sashimi, and Tasmanian ocean trout.
Sit at the bar and ask for the 'super omakase' (not on the menu). Chef Nobu is wonderful so sit strategically to watch him prepare and discuss the sushi!
$20 special before 6:30 includes a great salad, miso soup, a ton of tempura, grilled fish, tuna roll + 1 each salmon/yellowtail/tuna sushi (or 3 each sashimi and rice), and fresh fruit plate. HELLO.

Great $1 oyster happy hour M-F from 5pm - 7pm. There's also 2 varieties of oyster shooters. We like the version with pickle brine. Oyster picklebacks!
The happy hour from 5-7 is amazing! The oysters are the best I have ever had and only $1 each. The oyster shooters are only $5 and delicious and any of their $7 cocktails on special are fantastic!
The sister bar to Goodnight Sonny, don't overlook the food menu at this cocktail spot. Sausage bread with ricotta is UNREAL and happy hour specials on oysters (and shooters)
You can't go wrong with the mac and cheese or the chicken pot pie-- great comfort food! I'm partial to their brussel sprouts as a side, and Friday's special of the day, the lobster roll.
Oysters, Mac & Cheese and Kale salad are all incredible! I've never had anything I don't like here. Don't forget to hop down to the photo booth before you leave!
Cannot go wrong with homemade chips and blue cheese as app. Any entree with shrimp is to die for (especially grits). Fav. date night place.
