Gabriel Chung: Delicious authentic filipano food. the chicken adobo, flan, cassava cake are wow!
Minda A: It's all about the halo-halo and bistec. Reminds me of cafes in Ayala Alabang, Manila. Share authentic Filipino (vs fusion) with friends here if you don't have patience for Queens, like me.
Verna: Great authentic food but service can be very inconsistent - slow, wrong orders, forgotten orders, etc. Try to go at odd times when there aren't too many people.

The New York Times: Have fried duck egg on asparagus, griddled razor clams, fantastic tripe. This is Spanish food from a bustling heaven, with wine to match.

Elvis Rodricks: Probably the most authentic Italian eatery around! Their pastas are from scratch and service was incredible! Loved their outdoor seating as well.
HOBNOB Magazine: Pricey, but worth it Italian in a sweet, below street level space. Zucchini blossom + eggplant appetizers. Pesto pasta. Photos: http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=102677&id=765634189&l=7c1d97eace
Olivia Oran: The lamb ragu is hands down one of the best pastas I've ever had

Citybeams.com: Thin crust, amazingly fresh & cooked to crisp perfection in stone oven. Try the ""shroomtown"" you won't be disappointed.
The Corcoran Group: Crispy and fresh, this thin-crust pizza doesn’t leave you feeling stuffed and greasy. Go when the weather is right because seating outside is much more enjoyable.
John Morton: What's the magic pizza here? Shroomtown + pepperoni.
Ms Helene: Great local coffee place, lots of seating incl some outside, pastries from excellent bakeries incl Balthazar and other local ones. Good soy latte $4 and the line even tho long, moves quickly
Tony Xerri: I had a cup of coffee. Hope it doesn't make me a rich, smug a-hole. Oh, that coffee was fantastic by the way.
Julia Hu: The staircase leads to nowhere...

Daniel Benkwitt: A New York classic and all around great neighborhood spot. The Gramercy burger is particularly good (and all burgers are cooked to perfection).
Scott Ex: Pete's hasn't closed since 1851. It was even open during prohibition, disguised as a 'flower' shop speakeasy.
HBO: Sex and the city happened here. This is where Miranda took the reins and proposed to Steve "over three-dollar beers."

Compass: This place is packed for weekend brunch for good reason. Fluffy omelettes and farm-to-table produce keep locals coming back for intimate meals in the rustic brownstone.
ripov: Pretty good food if you can maintain your appetite with the really nauseating acoustic adult contemporary playing. Personally, it was a struggle.
Adam Silver: Crowded on the weekends with rich kids whose parents just bought them a bland one-bedroom in Murray Hill and newlyweds who met at HBS. But the eggs are fantastic.
