Go upstairs and check out the mechanical machines. Get a tour by a very nice old men who created them and some of the declarations inside the store (you can tip him in the end if you want).

Great hotel conveniently located in the centre of Alfama. Modern rooms, a very welcoming staff and the rooftop terrace with a nice view to the river makes this hotel recommendable. WiFi = memmoalfama

One of the most impressive gardens I visited in Lisbon. A lot of beautiful sculptures, murals, azulejos and interesting architecture around. Bring some bread to feed the big Koe fish in the pond.
Amazing gardens and 17th century palace. Lots of tile mosaics, also follies, fountains and topiary - only 3€ entry to the gardens!
The stadium tour and the museum are really nice! Worth it! And it's very close to the subway station.

Excellent stadium, not expensive and you can drink in the stand. Get a bifana from the stalls outside, absolutely outstanding.
The place it's good. At breakfast, the guests clean your own dishes. The hostel didn't have enough tours just Free Walk Tours and a (really) cool tour to Sintra + Cabo da Roca (I highly recommend).

I went today for the 1st time there. Where it was the 2nd part of the #StrEatFest event. It's really an amazing museum, huge and has a lot of cool stuff to see.
Great for kids. Free entrance. Lots of cool exhibits plus hands on toys you will be hard pushed to drag then off. It's educational AND fun!

Nice staff! The pub crawl is worth a try, even though the last bar is very expensive, water costs 4€ and drinks 7€!
They don't do any arena tours so the best time to come is when they have an event. They have a cool mall in the basement though.
Admist a bull ring beneath lies a lovely eatery.. Stalls and a cinema... What more can a person ask for...

A tiny little shop underneath a graffiti-laden staircase makes for a charming place to enjoy two shots of ginginja in a chocolate cup!
Take ginginha in chocolate glasses but do not eat after the first shot! Ask for a refill!:))
You should walk down to the historic city center by starting from here. A little chilly and crowded when the sun shines as city sightseeing tours start from here.
