Recently opened as a converted seminary. Wonderful courtyard, comfy beds and Intelligentsia coffee in the lobby make this a winner. Not indulgent, just a great place to stay.
Never stayed here but love to get coffee in the courtyard during coffee breaks at work. It's a nice little sanctuary.

Go around the corner on Morton St and look for an unmarked steel door that leads into a courtyard. If you follow the address and try to enter on Hudson St, you'll just find a door that doesn't open.

Beautiful. Filled with mostly Medieval Romanesque and Gothic art (don't forget the Merode Altarpiece). You tend to forget that the pillars surrounding the central courtyard are over 600 years old.
The tapestry is really intricate and the castle itself is a work of art. The outdoor courtyards are amazing and peaceful. Once you're outside you can go on a variety of scenic walks in the area!
Beautiful views from the Museum of the Hudson river. Also very interesting art to be seen.
