The chicken katsu was so tender and amazing, pork not so much. Everything else 💯: rice cooked perfectly, fresh salad with carrot dressing, curry was delicious with some sort of meat slivers
The grill here is awesome. It's fueled by wood charcoal and adds amazing flavor to anything cooked on it. It also helps that they cook everything perfectly! Korean BBQ and Pork belly are the best :-)

Special chirashi bowl is a good thing to get if you're willing to spend the money ($15). If not, the katsu don is really good too! The 'super bomb roll' is a really good spicy tuna roll. Gotta try!
The sushi rice here might be the best I've had in the Bay Area (that wasn't a michelin-star joint). What does this mean? Skip rolls and nigiri (blasphemy?!) and go straight for a chirashi bowl.
Come early otherwise you'll probably wait for at least an hour during peak times

The top of the dinner service is the best time to go. Closed on Sundays. North/South and East/West roll are yummy on rainy cold nights.

If you get just rice and donkatsu, it’s almost a full meal for just $6! It’s a steal. Esp. when the katsu is big and juicy! But of course, the curry is good so you can’t skip that 😋

Our favorite spot in J-Town for sushi. It's small but quaint and the specials are great. Not to mention they always have toro.
Order the Small poke don with udon. Nom non nom just the right amount if food for lunch
Do the nigiri roll combo w/ tekkamaki instead of the CA roll. If you want authentic sushi (nigiri) Kaita is your spot. Trust me you won't be disappointed.
