Dan dan noodles and OX tongue and tripe are great with the perfect amount of ma la (numbing heat from Szechuan peppercorns). Dont miss and dont bother with the more expensive Wa Jeal.
A hidden outpost of their more popular 39th street location. Pretty authentic menu- get the spicy dumplings and the capsicum lamb! All the chili stews are good too if you're brave :)

Go for Power Breakfast. Still the best place in New York to start the day with the top in every industry.
Milano Markets are Italy within NYC type of gourmet shops. There's all sorts of Italian goodness here(sandwiches/salads/pastas/deli). This spot in the UES is great to grab snacks & eat at Central Park
John Pizzarelli is playing there for another month. It is a very small and nice place to eat and enjoy a jazz concert. Woody Allen plays there every Monday as well.
Lovely French bistro! Have brunch on the patio! You get a delicious basket of pastries. Great cappucinos & the eggs Benny was delish. Make sure you get the homefries!

One of the best brunches in NY (best in UES). Simple yet so complex in its flavors - soul satisfying, no pretension, and incredible incredible service and people- feels like home should be.
All dishes were pretty basic, but delicious. Try kale Caesar salad, orecchiette, crab & avocado toast. Made us wait 40 minutes for our table, offered free crudo for the wait & then charged us for it!
