One of the best Indian Cuisine in Vancouver, the world even! Get the Lamb Popsicles and mutton kebabs. And simply the best Chai you can get. Fantastic atmosphere and outstanding Indian hospitality!

Cool younger sister Vij's Rangoli serves up inventive Indian without the hype and price of her fancy older sibling next door. For an unexpectedly delicious dessert, don't miss the Meeti Roti.

AKA Vij's Without the Queue or Vij's at Half the Price. No, you’ll not get the famous lamb popsicles but you will get the same beautifully-balanced Indian food but with a casual take.[Eater 38 Member]

If you like Indian cuisine and you don't go to Vij's you're crazy. It's absolutely worth the 1-1.5 hour wait! Everything I had was great. The mutton kebabs and lamb were fantastic.

Arrive early, before opening time. We got there at 4:55 on a Monday and there was a line-up already. We were the last table of two in the first seating. It’s worth it.

The mango lassi is delicious. You can't honestly go wrong with anything on the menu. The jackfruit however isn't worth the money

Must try this place. The ambience is so warm. The owner Vij comes to everyone's table to greet them multiple times and checks in on you to make sure you're enjoying the food.

Incredible food! One of the best Indian restaurants hands down. It's worth the 2+ plus wait (no reservations). The wait goes by quickly (good drinks + appies), and the food is just sensational.

AMAZING Indian food. Lamb Popsicles are damn good, servers are nice and helpful, lots of little complementary things. Overall was best food I've had in a long time. Even the wait was enjoyable

Vij's Rangoli serves up some of the freshest Indian food in Vancouver. Drop in for a curry at this small modern South Granville cafe, take home ready-to-eat entrees, and snap up their cookbook too. Read more

They don't take resos and the small restaurant fills up quickly, so if you can't be here by 4:30 (for 5 PM open) aim for 6:30 to catch the second wave of seatings.

No reservations, always a line-up but worth the wait. The lamb popsicles in fenugreek creamy curry sauce are a must-try- it's one of Vij's signature dishes.

If you like tamarind as a flavor, try the Dark Army cocktail. It's got a similar sweet  & sour, spicy collaboration going on.

amazing food. lamb popsicles for the meat eaters, saag-paneer for the vegetarians. the service isn't the greatest, no reservations either but the food makes it worthwhile to put up with it.

Don't be turned off by the wait -- eat here, order anything and everything, you won't regret it. Not to mention that Vij is an awesome host and takes real good care of his guests.
