If it's your first visit, buy a one-day admission then consider buying a membership as you leave. You can apply the cost of your one-day admission towards the membership fee if you ask politely.

Beautiful gardens... My favorite are the water lilies, orchids, butterfly plants, & pond gardens near the gazebo & castle tower. But watch out for lots of poison ivy near wooded paths (see photo).

Wander through twinkling lights, poinsettias and Christmas trees at Longwood's annual Christmas display. Beautifully lit fountains dance in a starry wonderland, and concerts are presented daily.

Fantastic mushroom soup in cafe. Bring a change of clothes for the kids after playing in the indoor children's garden. They do hand out towels now too.
