Great spot for late-ish dinner and drinks or weekend brunch. Get the BLP (a BLT but with Pimento Cheese), you won't be disappointed! If the weather is nice sit out on the deck.

Try the fried chicken sandwich—fowl soaked in jalapeño-spiked buttermilk, fried to order & served in a Caputo’s bun with crunchy red cabbage–cilantro slaw. It’s 1 of our #100best dishes & drinks 2011. Read more

The fish sandwich is lovely, and if you're lucky enough for the special to be steamers -- order them as an appetizer! All around delicious meal, and wonderful atmosphere.

highly recommend the kale, hushpuppies dipped in honey butter, and the delightfully refreshing john daly cocktail. ask about the "dirty bird" (off the secret menu) and if possible sit in the backyard!

North Carolina-style pulled pork BBQ done right. Or at least as right as I've ever seen it done north of the Mason-Dixon line. Also be sure to try the hush puppies and Brunswick stew.

This stylish new Southern cafe serves a very fine sandwich made with toasted sourdough bread and light, creamy pimento cheese. It's like if sharp cheddar and fancy French mayo had a cheese baby.

Attention pimento/fried chicken sandwich lovers: Van Horn dropped the sammies from the menu, it's not just other delicious southern dinner foods. Now you know.

Great fish sandwich, great beer on tap and awesome crust on the pie. Now on my list of frequent eats in the hood. (Just not cheap!)

Fried chicken sandwich is killer (and large). Use generous amounts of house vinegar. Bake beans and pimms cup are nice twists on old faves. Small but excellent rye, bourbon and beer selection.

BLT is delish, because the Pullman loaf is as fresh as DJ Jazzy Jeff's prince. Tomato fresh in Jan. too! If u need salad because you're getting fat, get the chix salad, tho it's slightly unhealthy.

You can't go wrong with either the chicken or fish sandwich and a side of greens. A strong cocktail and killer brunch help too.

The fish sandwich, shrimp po boy, hush puppies and Mac and cheese make for an indulgent and awesome meal. A pint of unsweetened ice tea wraps up the spread perfectly.

Amazing fish sandwich, very light, delicious tomato soup, pulled pork sandwich, baked beans! Skip the mac and cheese though. And no coffee or dessert yet (they're working on it).

The sweet PLT here is amazing! You must try it with the house made hot sauce. Skip the mac n cheese. Doodling on the table is a fun way to wait.

There's a reason you see a lot of chicken sandwiches go by. Follow that instinct. And for something different, the PLT. You just need to try it.

Pork or fried chicken, grab the spicy vinegar. Full bar which you probably never wanted w/ a sandwich, but a shot of bourbon can't hurt
