- Hands down, the BEST bloody Mary's, spinach salad and stuffed egg plant parm everrrr!!!!
- My eggs Benedict were BOMB and the beer jam is super cool! The brunch menu is far more adventurous than most places 👍🏼
- S SAugust 3, 2013Great atmosphere. Tried the sautéed chicken with Demi wine glaze sauce. Nlot what I expected. Sauce was super thin and tasted quite salty... Almost like chicken broth. Waitress was awesome tho.
- Brunch is completely amazing. I’ve been coming here for years and years and I’ve never had something that wasn’t special.
- This is where the locals come to drink/eat/talk and for good reason. The food is excellent, beer selection is local and the wine list is the longest and best in town. Had the fish tacos last time GR8!
- Great atmosphere always! Excellent option for an EL brunch or for Wine Wednesdays! 🍷
- Sam OttSeptember 16, 2018Amazing brunch. The food was amazing! I got the beggars bowl and had to cut myself off!!
- Kristen PFebruary 10, 2023Great menu, friendly service! Portion sizes are large so you can easily share meals.
- Beggar's Banquet is a decent choice for a casual date. Get the Brie appetizer, it's delicious.
- Jason PursleyNovember 22, 2010Half of bottles of wine on wed are great, food is great, staff (except for bouncers) great. Loved everything about this place (except for bouncers)!
- No real munchies on the appetizers list, best for meals rather than happy hour. The scallops are heavy but delicious.
- I'm proud to be your new mayor of Beggar's Banquet. As your newly elected mayor, I will act with bipartisan humility and seek to improve the experience at this fine institution.
- Fox BarrelMay 12, 2011The Fox Barrel Pacific Pear on draught is fantastic! Fermented using 100% pure pear-juice and Gluten-free!
- A nice change from a typical college town bar. Half off wine on Wednesday and dare I say the best food in downtown EL.
- The only place downtownLansing to have a good beer. Great bartenders!
- Ryan JohnsonJanuary 9, 2011Here is my problem with Beggars: they seem to think their food is worth a lot more than it is. Overall pretty much everything on the menu is about $2-4 dollars overpriced.
- Service and food quality highly vary here. Food often arrives cold, dirty dishes and silverware, slow service even on non-busy day. Not impressed lately. Too bad. Used to be fine dining.
- Teresa GossNovember 22, 2011Horrible service, burgers and steak burnt twice, manager never came to the table. We will never go back!
