    If you're travelling with another person to either Liverpool or Manc and returning the same day, ask for a 'Northern Duo' at the ticket desk, save yourself some pennies.

    The staff at WAC are always polite and pleasant. They may have a job to do - and they do it - but they're invariably nice about it, unlike at most stations I've been through.

    Great coffee served by Koffi Stop to wake you up first thing in the morning! Current refurb works are a bit of a pain but get there a few mins early and you should have no problems!

    Coffee man is very friendly, but you've got to do a 'Gladiator' to get past the ticket man !

    It's been improved, but don't expect any decent places to buy any snacks on the platform. A Thursday morning at 8:45 and even the shop at the entrance was closed!
