The roast chicken, hands down, is the best in town. It's also a great place to eat when the weather is nice because they open their doors and windows for great outdoor seating and ambience.

Amazingly comfortable in the spring when the garage doors are opened. Delicious roast chicken, the off menu bucatini carbonara, and rosemary potatoes. Good 4 people watching and casual eating ❤️

The roast chicken here is some of the best I've ever had. Get it with a side of garlicky sautéed vegetables (verdure) and a glass of lambrusco

Book the private dining room (by the kitchen) for a special occasion. The table seats up to 12 guests and they serve a delicious prix fixe menu family-style.

What goes well with perfect roast chicken? Pasta, of course. New to the menu is a rich potato-dumpling dish with sweet delicata squash and walnut pesto, it's called the Gnocchi e Zucca ($19). Read more

The roast chicken is delicious - what is typically a boring & overcooked dish is perfectly made here. The walls open up in spring & summer so you get to eat amazing food in the open air

You can't go wrong here, except maybe with sea food. The chicken is out of this world, the hanger steak is awesome, the gnocchi will make your head swoon. Been here four times and never disappointed.

Can I come back already?? Love this place... the attendance is excellent and the gnocchi stagionale is to die for. Make sure to book a reservation because the place is small.

So delicious. Buratta is amazing. Lamb shoulder parpadelle is sososo good. They are worth the price. Gnocchi is nice, calamari salad is fine, chicken is nice but still roast chicken.

Loved squid ink pasta. Healthy size portion (not 2 much). Enjoyed the 2-cheese app. Project X and goat cheese were delicious. My bf had the gnocci which wasn't too flavorful. Love outdoor seating.

Awesome seasonal Italian food from Jonathan Waxman – one of our favorite chefs. Try the gnocchi, the chicken (of course), any of the seafood and the budino al cioccolato.

I was a little bit hesitant to order the chicken since it can be really dry. Nothing to worry about in this place, though. The gelati is SUPERB! Fave places in NY! 😍

Kale salad is perfection but only on the menu seasonally. Also you cannot go wrong with the carbonara for lunch or the JW chix potatoes for dinner. And no matter what end your meal with the budino.

If it ain't broke don't fix it, and Chef Jonathan Waxman's Pollo Al Forno has been the main seller here since it opened. The crispiness of the skin and moistness of the meat, it doesn't disappoint.
