- Kimberly LingDecember 23, 2014Yummy bean sprout chicken rice and hor fun! Awesome herbal chicken feet! Must try. However, it's very very pricey and crowded. Server accidentally dropped a few pieces of our chicken & didn't replace.
- Tracy LohMay 13, 2018tried the steamed chicken, beansprout and pork balls during recent visit, felt that the taste is very normal, nothing spectacular about it. the competitors are doing much better.
- Darren LowMarch 10, 2013If you're looking for taugeh chicken rice in Ipoh, this is definitely the go-to place! Portions are fairly small though, so if you've got big guys in your group, be sure to order an extra 2 portions!
- William NgFebruary 8, 2019A famous bean sprout chicken joint located at the Gerbang Malam area. Plenty of things to shop after eating here. Bean sprout here is as expected, chicken good texture but I wouldn't say very fragrant
- Pearl-Lyn 👑May 22, 2016Everything was really tasty. We asked for chicken breast which meant less bones 👍🏼. Pork balls & taugeh were good as well😻
- KTJuly 17, 2015I would suggest not to take the dry noodle. Together with the chicken and bean sprout, you'll find your mouth covered with oil, and oil
- Wong LoiDecember 26, 2011Famous place at Ipoh. Yummy and fast. But it's many people at night and you need to wait anytime. But if you go in the morning will less people a bit. You must taste it, never regret it!
- The fried pork is good (they call it char siu)! Crispy exterior with well seasoned interior. Go for double portion.
- Joachim OoiJanuary 1, 2017The taugeh here is really juicy, chicken wise it's almost the same as every other shops selling Steamed Chicken Rice. It's famous cause it's touristy. -Penang Kia Food Critique-
- Alan LeeApril 25, 2019The usual eatery to visit when I pull a stop in Ipoh for lunch or dinner. My rating for this is above average.
- Ben LimNovember 29, 2014Salted chicken and chicken rice was legit. Only one english speaking worker when we went, but being only one menu item to order you'll do fine.
- Sean KhorDecember 13, 2017Cheaper than Ong Kee. Chicken taste better than Ong Kee. Tauge Ong Kee one better (big and tastier). Pork ball so-so only but the soup is better than Ong Kee. One pax portion around RM20 (not cheap).
- Jasmine ChongFebruary 1, 2016Waiters are quite funny N patient, Chicken is nice N soft, Tauge very juicy. Overall, it's good.
- YeohNovember 29, 2014Chicken portion relatively small. Price wise not cheap. The Ipoh beansprouts however is very crispy and exquisite. Apart from that, it really feels over rated, hence avoided by Ipoh residence.
- Karen ChewFebruary 27, 2015People have so many negative comments about this place but this is the best to me. Always my first choice for bean sprout chicken.
- a s n a w iOctober 15, 2017The Nasi Ayam was really delicious. Definitely will come again to this restaurant.Upvoted Feb 15

- Phileas ChooApril 11, 2015Best chicken rice in town, must eat with tauge~ their braised chicken leg not bad also :)
- mr nobodyMay 9, 2021This might be sacrilege to the people of Ipoh but I actually prefer the Ipoh Chicken Rice chain in KL. The food here is so greasy you even walk out feeling greasy - 27/12/16
- It is the icon restaurant of Ipoh Chicken Rice. A must try whenever you are visiting Ipoh town.
- Chai MLMay 25, 2017Chicken is normal.... The unique taste is the oil in the soya sauce ~very fragrant and a lot mix in the salty sauce
- Manxeon Boo YEAH!February 4, 2014As here many people the order system will be slight slow so PATIENCE is the key to "survive" here :) manxeon.com
- Cafrey MaOctober 4, 2014Don't pass on the meatballs and fishballs. They're quite some delicious sides to accompany the main chicken rice or hor fun meal.
- Jia-KerrJune 6, 2014The iced white coffee is really really good! So is the food! The meatball soup is abit oily though but the meatball is okay.
- Kuali StarJune 3, 2011The restaurant opens from 10.30am to 2.30am. Service is fast and every three minutes, one steam-cooked chicken is neatly cut and served. Read our review on Kuali.com! Read more
- Zo ShiyiFebruary 10, 2016Still prefer here. Chicken rice is soft and smell. Pork ball are big and nice. Bean also nice.
- RJ SandhuJanuary 1, 2014Though the taugeh is decent, my family and I found this chicken rice wanting of the standard "Ipoh Chicken Rice". IMO you can find better Ipoh chicken rice in KL than what's served here.
- W HoSeptember 15, 2014Chicken is firm & full of bite. Towgay so so. Dry hor fun is smooth - I know it's famous but the dry noodle so much oil I think I'll pass.
- Raymond TanMay 31, 2015Personally prefer this shop more to the original one. And it's available during lunch time.
- Jennifer HardiSeptember 6, 2014Great tasty food! Don't forget a big dollop of chilli with your chicken rice
- Tan RuiJuly 22, 2015The only special about this shop is the bean sprouts. Not the chicken rice. Bean sprouts are so crunchy!
- chow chowOctober 15, 2014Taugeh chicken is yummy....worth the waiting....car park lots controlled by drug looking addicts is a menace.....
- Tauge is the only dish I like here. 2 plates is cinfirm for every visit. 😂
- Andrew TangNovember 6, 2011The taste not as good as my last visit! Beware of spider from the root, unless u seat under open air....come and try then u will noe wat I mean!!!! I'll giv 1 out of 10 rating to tis restaurant!!

- Jedidiah WongJuly 25, 2010A gastronomic heritage of Ipoh. Ipoh Taugeh Chicken is near the top of every Malaysian food lover's list. Ignore the comments about soggy, tasteless hor fun and try it for yourself.
- Jillian ChiaSeptember 17, 2010Very yummy beansprout chicken hor fun, a famous Ipoh dish. They use good quality soy sauce which makes it delicious!
- Charles TehAugust 20, 2012be prepared to spare a buck or two while parking. people walking around this area illegally collecting money for assisting you while parking your car.
- First try and there will be more to come in future. The taugeh (bean sprouts) so juicy and yum!
- VNAugust 30, 2015Tried Chicken rice, Bean sprout, Fish / Meatball soup. Taste average and a bit oily. Cost RM30 for 2 persons.
- Jimmy ChaiSeptember 14, 2015Still great... But we face before the chicken still had a yellowish fat underneath the skin
