This park is small but has something for everyone. A walk along the river, hills for picnics, a lot of benches for reading, a dog park, a playground for kids and it is near restaurants.- Jonathan FerreraJuly 20, 2015Nice views of the Chicago River, though the smell can be a bit upsetting. The park itself is very beautiful. Dogs are only allowed in a fenced-off dog park.
- Park #511, so aptly named because there are obviously 511 things to love about this place, including: dog park, waterfront view, hills, windy paths etc.
Expanded park reopened 7/19/12 with more swings, patio tables w/shade covers, and large half dome climbing structures. Renamed Montgomery Ward Park. Finally! They got it right this time.
Expansion of the playground has begun! The park is open, but the playground will not re-open until July (certainly in time for Taste of River North!).
New playground being built here currently...swings, slides etc..looks to be completed in the next couple weeks.
