_September 6, 2016Beautiful scenic views! You can take the boat to the 3 major spots, bike to the other visitor center, or rent a scooter to get around. You can bargain the price with the people who approach you.

- Connie ChiuNovember 28, 2019A beautiful get away. If you’re up for it, bike around the entire lake, which is around 19 miles up and down the mountain. Very thrilling and an incredible workout with some solid views.

JasSeptember 9, 2014Largest lake in Taiwan, great tourist attraction. You can see sunrise and sunset here. But swimming is forbidden, except for the 3km annual race.
Lake itself is really pretty and water has a nice color. You can walk or bike 🚲 around the lake. There is no swimming area 🙁. There are some basic boat tours but they look kinda lame

melleemelFebruary 21, 2014Don't pay the full listed price NT $300 for the ferry tickets! You can definitely negotiate down to $250 or even $150. Or your hotel may even sell for $100 if you buy from their desk like mine did!

日月潭位於台灣本島中央南投縣的魚池鄉，是台灣最大的淡水湖泊，也是最美麗的高山湖泊。潭面以拉魯島為界，東側形如日輪，西側狀如月鉤，故名日月潭。她的美是由山與水所共同交融、創造出來；748.48公尺的中高度海拔，造就日月潭宛如圖畫山水，氤氳水氣及層次分明的山景變化，一景一物皆渾然天成，詩畫般的意境，足以讓人流連忘返。
