- Try and ride the Type 7 cars (Split windshield) its easier to sit facing forward or backwards instead of sideways like on the Breda cars.
- A SSeptember 14, 2016The train station, after being closed over a year for restoration, looks beautiful. Glass ceilings, clean interiors, well ventilated - one of the best T stops in Boston.
- The Type 7 green line cars (split windshield) are fare more comfortable to ride in. You side facing front or backwards instead of facing away from the windows. Easier to see your stop as well.Upvoted Mar 13
- Michele BowserJuly 4, 2013Trains were on-time, and got me to my destination quickly. Cars are clean, and I felt safe. Great way to get around when your feet are tired.
- George Toth-DemetriadeOctober 16, 2019Still a top-ten T Stop for me, but preferred it ten years ago when you could catch some speed and run to the top of the pyramid/bunker entrance, perhaps fueled by a buzz...
- It's great that there is a dunkin in the station but it's more expensive because of its convenience. You can go to the one just upstairs for cheaper dunkin!
- Eric OOctober 31, 2012If you're looking to continue to North Station or beyond, wait at the front end of the tracks.
- Waiting for a D train back to Riverside, watch inbound trains. D's turn here, others @ Lechmere. D's are labeled G center or Riverside. Sometimes they turn at Park, so wait 3-4 trains then go2 Park.
- Jake SmithDecember 16, 2011When taking the escalator up to ground level, keep moving. This particular escalator is too slim for two to fit side by side.
- Wear earplugs and mosquito protection. Or, jet out of there on the first train you can find and transfer at a better ventilated, less grindingly squealing station
- Don't forget to Tip your local musicians in The T stations, including this Sammy Davis Jr WannaBe. @MBTAgm Dude just sings over top boombox!
- Jamie LangowskiMarch 26, 2012If you need the E line, it's usually better to pick it up at Gov Center than Park St (also more likely to get a seat).
- Brian DeVitoJuly 17, 2011Love the beta train board on the blue line right downstairs. Can see where all the trains are on the line & approximate wait time. Wish this was everywhere!
- WalgreensJune 17, 2011Wash your hands or use hand sanitizer after using public transportation. Especially during flu season. There’s a way to stay well.
- Don't complain about the squealing wheels, its more enjoyable than most of the buskers...
- Patti MaguireSeptember 2, 2013went yesterday to a sox game, after the game headed back to Goverment center. they failed to tell us the train headed back to wonderland was back on,
- Anyone else in the world love the green line like I do?
- Chris MNovember 28, 2012Only the C and E trains go to North Station and beyond, the others stop here; so stop reading your copy of Twilight and get off the train....
- Don't stand near the mumbling homeless guy doing karaoke on the blue line platform.
- Get on the very last cart if you are getting off here from Park st. Less foot traffic
- Mounir HessastaApril 16, 2012Don't crowd into full trains, be a decent human being and wait for the next one please.
- when you are waiting for the B or C to switch at Park Street... it's the E line that slowly arrives at the platform which has always failed me when i have to catch the approaching Red Line train.
- I get asked this from tourists- yes, the Lechmere train goes to North Station. North Station train does not go to Lechmere.
- Well we've gotta lotta lotta lotta hard work today......
- beware of the cockroaches on the blue line...them things are the size of my foot!
- I bet WD-40 could make a powerful advertisement making the awful grinding sounds go away. Kind of like the Febreeze ads.
- Going inbound? Take any train to Park Street and switch there or you might wait a long time before your train shows up.
- Prepare to wait and wait and wait for the Lechmere train. ANNOYING!!!!!
- Get ready to sweat! It's always an inferno in here.
- Raul M.April 18, 2012Stay away from tracks going inbound or wear ear plugs.. Those squeaky wheels of the trains are so annoying and bothering
- Govt center sucks ass for the blue line. Trains going to disappear coming from bowdoin headin to wonderland
- It always smells like urine when you go down the stairs to the Blue Line. WTF, hobos.
