No trip to NYC is complete without visiting MOMA. Awesome haven in the midst of the robust city work life, with 6 whole floors of classic art to browse. Gets crazily crowded, but just go!
The MoMA can be daunting at first glance because of its sheer size and reputation. But worry not! Take it one floor at a time. The MoMA is a great place to learn and a beautiful space to explore.
Without a doubt one of the world's top art museums, filled with some of the best known pieces of all time. The collection includes works by Picasso, Monet, Van Gogh, Warhol and many others
I love this place, especially the fifth floor is amazing. Picasso, Van Gogh, Matisse, Malevich, Rothko... So many great painters, I was truly moved by their collection.
If a museumDate Night isn't already in your repertoire, you can't go wrong with the MoMA. Finish it off with a stop at The Modern for dinner or drinks to make a complete outing of it.
Very nice museum! Huge!!! Surprised all those people for comfortable in the museum with space to enjoy the art. Free Fridays presented by Target! 4 to 8 PM just get in line.
Overrated museum and pricy. But the have some pieces that worth for it, you can visit for free the museum courtesy of UNIQLO all Friday from 16:00-20:00 hours/ Puedes visitar gratis los viernes de 4-8
Love this museum, a great mix between well known pieces and new things to discover at exhibits each time you go. Can't decide whether I like this or the Guggenheim better!
Got to come here for free as an NYU student (corporate membership). Undoubtedly one of the best NYU perks. Became a regular here and still one of my favorite places to go in the city. Love the store.
Impressive collection, beautiful sculpture garden. All that you can hope for in a museum. The 5th floor cafe is pricey, but the food is very good and the view on the balcony is worth the price.
A place that should be given at least 2 days. If you love modern art... Sit in any corner, listen to music, read a book, watch people etc. Breath at MoMa. Don't forget to eat at the Café 2.
Permanent collection is always awesome. Exhibits from sculpture to architecture to photography that rotate through always amaze & intrigue. Great films as well. Check schedule online.
The 5th floor is just overwhelming. All the contemporary masters are here, with top works around every corner. You'll spend the most time here. Come early to avoid the crowds.
Best Modern Art collections in the US. The place is vast and you can easily spend the entire day here. The Cafes make it easy to get a meal or just take a break and get a drink.
So inspiring! Spending a day here was a dream come true. Picasso, van gogh, matisse, frida kahlo...the collections on the 5th floor absolutely amazing. Don't forget to visit the sculptures garden.
If Van Gogh means as much to you as he does to me, then it's obviously a must-visit museum. The shop is amazing as well! Make sure you give yourself plenty of time as they do kick you out.
If you've every studied Art History, much of what you learned is likely in here. Truly impressive. We were proactively approached by helpful staff who wanted to be sure we had a great visit.
I would suggest getting the city pass... You can save some $ and get most of your other tourist stops as well. My favorite here was the sculpture gardens!
I love art but this is not an art museum! Full of bazaar ideas they call it “ art”! My advice it to go all the way to the Top floor look at van Gogh and then walk your way down , the shop is a must
Amazing place to see amazing artists. Make sure to come during the weekday and during work hours if possible, gets very crowded on Fridays and weekends with tourist traffic.
Permanent collection is certainly worth the visit. The temporary “Things: Is fashion modern” exhibit was interesting, especially in the current climate of fast fashion. Free coat check is a plus.
Among the Finest Art Collections anywhere. Members of the Museum get invited to every Exhibition before they open, plus, never have wait on line for admission. On Friday Night, MoMA is Free!
Not only male abstract in the ideal white cube now. Really proud how institutions recreating and rethinking history of modern art. Thanks for these initiatives!

On Uniqlo Free Friday, the line is long but moves quickly. Since the galleries will be packed, it's better as a recon trip to plan a longer visit another day.
Serene artviewing experience; superb art, media, design, and architecture collections; sure. But MoMA is also a transcendent architectural (and New York) experience.

With a party of 4 it is recommended to make one of the visitors a MoMA member, that way you receive an iconic totebag and can visit again in the near future.
A must in NY! Such an impressive collection of well known artists. Only thing I didn’t like was the sixth floor.. Allow yourself a good half day at least if u want to delve deep in the collection
Always worth a trip to see some classics like Starry Night, Water Lilies and Persistence of Memory. Try and avoid the weekends if you can, as it really fills up on Saturday and Sunday mornings.
Although a free entrance on Friday evenings is tempting, I'm not sure I recommend it since it gets super crowded and considering the exhibitions, I'd rather pay and enjoy going around calmly.
You can definitely start with this or the Met, depending on your tastes. A lot of cool unconventional staff (I liked Japanese architecture), but grand masterpieces as Van Gogh or Klimt as well.
If you plan to visit 2 or more times a year, the membership is WELL worth the money. Free showings, movie tickets, no waiting in long line for coats, discounts, etc.
The MoMA houses amazing works from renowned artists such as Picasso, Monet, Pollack, and Lichtenstein, as well as frequent thought-provoking exhibits. If you're not into modern art, go for the cafe!
PicassoSculptures at MoMa: Although more famous for his paintings, Picasso was an accomplished self-taught sculptor - which made these works more personal and intimate than anything else he produced.
Except the long line we had to wait to leave our coats, it was a delightful experience to see the famous paintings and exhibitions. Since impossible to finish in one day, will visit again!
