- Elena HoffmanJune 21, 2017Awesome tostadas and Elotes! Also good selection of cocktails (that can easily be made virgin). Definitely street food style on a plate.
- Visit San AntonioAugust 15, 2011Be sure to sample several of La Gloria’s authentic Mexican dishes like the ceviche, queso and molcajetes. Talk with Chef Johnny Hernandez if you need to accommodate a special diet! –Race to the Alamo

- Clark LesleyOctober 2, 2013They don't have "happy hour" but they have good tacos and Aguas frescas (try the Jamaica.) The Queso is super good and served with white corn tortillas. Be careful if you ask for chips, you'll pay.
- Heidi MillerJuly 6, 2013This place is awesome! We are here in San Antonio for vacation. It's our 3rd day in a row @ La Gloria. The food is fresh & delicious! If you are in San Antonio, this is a must!
- Monet SpellsFebruary 18, 2013Had the the Panucho Cochinita Pibil, the elote and the ceviche verde -- all delicious. But you can't go wrong with anything you order
- Amanda RaeDecember 30, 2014Although it is a little pricey, the food & drinks are so good! My favorite is the prickly pear margarita! They are definitely worth the price!
- safoodiegramJune 6, 2014Hernandez has perfected the mexican street food scene with a bonus riverwalk view. What to order: frozen drinks, guacamole, roasted corn (elote) & a skirt steak molcajete.
- AndrewGroveSanAntonio GroveSeptember 9, 2023Great ceviche! Chips/queso/guacamole were all good too. Service was attentive and atmosphere fun. Will go back.
- Nicole SpaceyJuly 7, 2012This is THE BEST food! The fried tacos with verde and the red sauce were fantastic! Try everything, you won't regret it. I regret we found it on our last night in town!
- Cemil A.July 16, 2018Very good choice for those who love mexican foods. Everything I tasted was so delicious, I strongly recommend. Reasonable price and good service..
- Rossy BenavidezAugust 7, 2017Margaritas, queso fundido and alambre tacos are what I usually order when I go here! 👌🏻 However, service might be slow depending on how busy it gets.
- Justin WidemanApril 5, 2014I love this place. The food is always great. It's served A La Carte so be sure you pay attention to pricing and servings!
- House salsa is good. You can taste the roasted tomatillos and it has a slight tobacco flavor to it somehow.
- Darden RiceAugust 18, 2014Hands down, the best authentic Mexican food we encountered. Even the tortilla chips. The big pot of simmering pork amazing.
- Lauren BernalJanuary 5, 2018Food has never done it for me, but theory's are good and strong. Original, mangonada, and many of the others were awesome.
- Mat BrownNovember 16, 2015The steak molcajete was, honest to God, one of the best things I’ve ever tasted. I live in New York City.
- JenKuduApril 25, 2016Queso fundido was solid. The al pastor tacos are some of the best I've had. The mangorita was okay. I disliked the chips, too thick!
- Heather SpeckMay 7, 2013Ever thought liquor in your Agua Frescas would be a good idea? Try La Sandia. "Grown-Up" Agua Frescas for sure ;)
- A bit pricey, but definitely worth it! Love the margaritas!
- Emily CarltonOctober 18, 2014Tiny street portions, so get multiple items if you're hungry. Dorados Verdes was excellent!
- Molcajete: Puercos con Chile and a Corn on the Cob is perfect every time!
- Ellie HolmesJuly 23, 2013Portions are small so get lots if little things. Mexican pizza is HUGE. But so good. Wonder why frozen Ritas cost more though.
- Francisco PerezNovember 13, 2017Good ceviche. The bun on the hamburger was hard. The tortillas for the tacos weren't hot. The order of my appetizer and entree were reversed.
- Jack BraganMay 13, 2014The tacos I'll plus store were great ... Getting the food out was a little bit slow but the waitresses were very nice..
- Shena DunsJanuary 8, 2014This place is fresh and flavorful. Smaller portions so you can try more items. Feel good food.
- Gina R.November 15, 2012I had the avocado panuchos. Great vegetarian option. Ridiculously good. And their queso is amazing!
- Be sure to get the Hamberguesa, for sure one of the best things to get on the menu. I get it every time I'm here YUMMY!
- Laksamee PutnamDecember 27, 2012Great food and drinks! We recommend the ceviche and anything listed on the servers shirts.
- Maclovio GarciaOctober 30, 2017It was alright. Best part is the scenery. Had a torta and it was mostly bread. Need to upgrade wherever they get their pan!
- John CSeptember 9, 2014the tamale of the day was substantial in size and delicious and so was the elote.
- Abner AcevesApril 15, 2015Sopes are delicious. The Paloma is one of the best I've ever had anywhere. Must try.
- The house marg is to die for, and the mangolada is quite tasty too
- Jantzen FosterMarch 19, 2016Margaritas are strong. They also have a tequila that can only be found at La Gloria
- Always packed but hang around the outside bar easily snag a seat enjoy some great cocktails by Armando and listen to the band
- Genna SpeedJune 21, 2015It was just slightly better than ok, but nothing about this visit makes me want to return. It was just "meh". Molcajete and tacos were ok. Nothing to write home about. No military discount.
- The food was ok, but the tortillas where stale and it was expensive for the food. The michelada was good, the queso fundido was good, just the tortillas where hard and old! Not good for dinner!
- Isaac AcostaJuly 9, 2012Decent food, 1 and 1/2 hrs to get our cold food. After talking to the manager the best he could come out with was..."you shouldnt have eaten it"so we just paid $120+ for bad tacos with a view hah
- K. GilMarch 23, 2014I arrived and I was given a waiting time. Some ppl are VIP as the manager said and they were given preferential treatment and no waiting time. Very upsetting!!!
- great venue. fantastic ambiance. and you pay for it in mediocre food with a great vibe. do it once.
- Tried a number of things on the menu, and the only reliably wonderful items are the molcajetes, battered fish tacos and crispy chicken tacos.
- Rosalind JukoFebruary 24, 2013Mahi mahi tacos with cabbage & pico de gallo are bland! However I do like the atmosphere!
