- Martijn KapperFebruary 13, 2016This is a place you have to visit in your life. The horrors that took place here are hard to believe untill you see it with your own eyes. The guided tours are good and available in various languages.Upvoted Jan 27
- Rickard JonssonDecember 22, 2016Whilst it is a study in human cruelty, it is vital that you visit the camp to understand and to make sure that it doesn't happen again. Go in the morning before the crowds so you have time to reflect
- Ioannis PapapetrouDecember 16, 2016What can you say about this place...You better visited it during the winter if you can stand the cold so you feel the atmosphere. You can learn details about the camps and what the nazis did to jewish
- Ана ЛековићFebruary 13, 2017Also, if you go by yourself with guidebook, you will roam and discover more places (tour only goes through some of buildings available to public - all of them are numbered 👇🏻).
- Kaitlyn ReedJune 3, 2019Free entry without tour guide before 10am or after 5pm. They only have a select number of these tickets. Buy the guide book from the bookstore, it tells you EVERYTHING you need to know for 25pln
- Moritz SchuchmannFebruary 16, 2017It's not possible to find words for this place. What I can say it that we had a very nice female tourguide who also told some personal stories regarding family members who died in the camp.
- Laura NisbetNovember 25, 2014A must see!! We arranged our trip through escape2poland. It cost approx. £13 pp. They pick you up/drop you off at your hotel. Took around 1hr to get there by bus from Kraków. Full trip took 6hrs!
- Carl GriffinAugust 15, 2016A must visit if in the Krakow area. Truly harrowing but incredibly informative. There are a lot of companies who will arrange a tour. Entry is free.

- Ана ЛековићFebruary 12, 2017(Part 2)...and it's great because it's organized by rooms you visit and friend told me guides practically memorize whole thing. So it's great for people who want to have whole thing on paper, too.
- Emre VarlıkJune 10, 2016Although it is sad Auschwitz is a must see place. Entrance is free but if you want to visit before 3 pm you have to buy a guided tour.
- Julius CruickshankJune 24, 2015The organized tour is vey impressive. Try to book a week in advance as the English tours fill up and I saw some American tourists get upset at not getting to go on a tour straight away.
- Rebecca BroganNovember 25, 2014An awful part of history but a must see! Lots of tours run from Kraków, we used Escape 2 Poland, around £20 per person with hotel pick up included.
- Julian ChowOctober 9, 2013Definitely worth a visit. Something which you read in the history books is brought to life by the vivid descriptions of the tour guide
- Klara SJuly 20, 2016Please make sure to see both the base camp (Auschwitz) and the second part of the camp (Birkenau) where most of the extermination took place. Birkenau will give you a terrifying sense of scale.
- Joke Van der maelenApril 12, 2015Take 2 to 3 hours for Auschwitz. Birkenau is huge and I'd say you need 3 hours to take it all in. It's overwhelming and surreal. There's a free shuttle bus between the 2 camps.
- Emma MarieMay 20, 2017A truly eye opening experience. Nothing can prepare you for it. To see & feel what happened to the jews in this cruel barbaric way is life changing. It puts a whole new perspective on life.
- Tomas StrangeOctober 7, 2014I have visited auschwitz, I didn't expected to see something like this, I have traveled with

- Aslı D.August 9, 2013"The one who does not remember history is bound to live through it again..." it is the most dramatic place where i had been, everyone should visit here to face up to a part of real history.
- Steven AndrophyAugust 23, 2013A visit to Auschwitz/Birkenau is something that you must do before you die, it is truly moving. It is only an hour from Kraków by car, and should be a top priority to visit.

- Stefanie DDecember 9, 2013Everyone should visit this place once in their life. You have learned about it, seen it in movies,... but that's nothing compared to the real thing. And of course, take a guide...
- AL RNJanuary 8, 2015So impressed, lots of information, it needs to spend a full day, the bad thing is it closes at 4pm.

- Joanne WrightSeptember 26, 2014The only tip I can leave is it's a place that everyone should visit. This horrific event should never be forgotten! Moving experience beyond words!
- Matija KlasincAugust 18, 2017It is a must see. Walking around the camp site is tragic but an important experience for anyone.
- David 🏁 B.October 20, 2016I had a bad feeling of going to Auschwitz and end up visiting the site as a “tourist attraction”. I was wrong. I understood how reading books don't compare to the concrete experience of being there.
- Markus YlijokiJune 10, 2014Come in as early as possible. Buses from Krakow take almost two hours so you'll have to leave the hotel really early. The tour is 40 zlotys and lasts for 3 1/2 hours. The tour is good value for money.
- Arthur RosenfeldSeptember 3, 2017Interesting guided tour, don't forget to reserve visit hour and language.
- Ана ЛековићFebruary 12, 2017It's an experience everybody should get, so history won't repeat itself. Stoj/hault and think it over and over.
- Marta TurskaNovember 10, 2014Very touching place, good as the end of the trip, more like a 'one time visit', usually people don't go there twice. Worth visiting
- John 忠威 suɐɥ Dyke🐑August 25, 2014Very moving place but a must see place. Very good guides available and well organised and informative.
- Jaroslaw MarciukSeptember 24, 2011The complex of camps, which became a symbol of genocide, terror and the Holocaust, was established in 1940. During World War II the Nazis murdered hundreds of thousands of Jews, Poles, Gypsies.
- Ана ЛековићFebruary 12, 2017If you're hard-of-hearing or deaf person, go before tour in building where wc and shop are and buy a black'n'white guide. I think it was pretty cheap... (part 1)

- Marietta ProtopapaNovember 17, 2017It’s a must if you’re In Kraków, the place is history incarnated.
- Arjan TupanJuly 11, 2012Take your time for this, and don't forget to wander around and also walk to the far end. Very impressive.
- Elena ZarubinaJune 27, 2016We took 6 hour tour. Maybe we were not lucky with a guide, as she was repeating herself so many times, it was very boring, as if she didn't know what to say.
- Jenny SAugust 8, 2016You need to go to info counter and get a ticket for your entrance time. We didn't know and had to skip the Auschwitz side. Other tips are pretty useless
