Pepper steak wit whiz. Really delicious. Hits the spot . Super fast service , Cash only and can be hard to get a seat. Other than that I'd stop here every trip in Philly.

Yes, I know there are better spots and Pat’s is widely considered a tourist trap. That said, they continue to serve up a great authentic cheesesteak and it’s worth it for the experience alone.

Really good! Def better than Geno's! Was a little greasy towards the end of the sandwich but otherwise it was the best Philly cheesesteak EVER!

If you’ve never been, grab a steak from Pat’s and one from Geno’s for a taste test. Spoiler alert: Pat’s wins. Bring cash. Order wit onions and whiz. Grab some of the hot peps by the ketchup 😉

I'm an out-of-towner visiting Philly for the 1st time. Was so excited about Pat's because of all the hype. All I can say is the meat was fresh, but it was also tough and had no flavor whatsoever.

Tried Geno's & Pat's- Pat's is better hands down! The difference? At Pat's the steak was chopped up, with the cheese whiz on top of all of the toppings instead of the bun. Much better!!!

There are two lines one for the cheese steaks one for the fries and drinks..if you have two people with you...split up!...i was done the cheese steak before i got my fires! But it was Yummy!

It’s a good standard cheesesteak Order onions with the wiz. Don’t be intimidated by the line it moves fast. $11 for a steak is on the high side. But it’s the whole Philly experience.

Order FAST. They don't want to wait! Say: "Steak with and wiz" ("with" means onions. Say "without", if you don't want them. I highly recommend "with", though.) Don't order any cheese! Wiz is the way!

The venerable old favorite still makes a tasty sandwich, though tough to recommend over Geno's, which is right across the street. Maybe for a changeup once in awhile.

If you enjoy lots of cheese, you're better off w/Whiz not (white)American. Overall the meat was a bit chewy, I preferred Geno's. It was my 1st time but, I tried both.

We did the official taste test. Side by side. Geno's might be prettier, but Pats steaks are less roll, more Whiz, not as greasy and staff is much friendlier. Genos did have the cool peppers though.
