Come for the decorations, music & kitschy vibe. RSVPs will be seated in restaurant section— walkins will be standing or can wait for a table by the bar. Food menu at the bar & restaurant are different

Awesome tiki drinks in a crazy setting. All the drinks are good - try many. Authentic spot from the tiki craze. The band on the boat in the "lagoon" combined with the rain and thunder is great

A genuine Tiki room/Polynesian restaurant at the Fairmont Hotel. Has a swimming pool turned bar & a rain/thunder show! Seen on Travel Channel’s The Layover with Anthony Bourdain.

Amazing underground tiki bar in the Fairmount hotel. Get a punch bowl and begin your blackout. The crowd is a little fancy but everyone is here to have a good time. Live music here is great too!

Every once and a while there’s a rainstorm, complete with thunder and lightning. INSIDE. If that sounds totally amazing, imagine experiencing it while sipping on a Singapore Sling or a Tonga Mai Tai. Read more

The tacky island atmosphere and the 1950's vibe with fake rain and the band on a boat in the middle of the pool. The food is American Cuisine but overpriced a little. Overall this is a unique place.

Not the best tiki drinks in the city, but definitely the best tiki vibes! Bring a group, there’s plenty of room!

Come for the tiki vibe & decoration, the seriously good cocktails and fun music & dancing. Do not, however, expect good food.

The bands playing, people are dancing, and your tasting one of the best damn Mai Tais in the land. Soak it in my friend and enjoy. If you don't lose yourself a little bit, you haven't done it right

Excellent variety of tropical drinks, fun tiki room style ambiance. The music is pure cheese but after a few drinks it’s tolerable. Solid service.

Skip the food - but hang and dance with a rum based tropical cocktail and listen to the awesome floating band.

The grandest possible reincarnation of a Vegas tiki bar from the 70s. Delicious and dangerous fruity cocktails and punch bowls. Good happy hour pricing on drinks and their so-so buffet

Fantastic decor, great service; only went for Happy Hour, which was a great deal but the food wasn't the best. Worth the visit for the ambience and one drink.

Cheesy to the nth degree, but still pretty awesome for what it is. The bar gets crowded- I regret not having dropped cover for a table.

The drinks are fabulous (which is apparently a new thing http://www.modernluxury.com/san-francisco/story/get-know-the-new-tonga-room) and the decor makes the WDW Polynesian seem understated.

Wow. This is the tackiest place ever. A band emerges from a raft in the middle of the room. There's a fake rainforest. And this weekend it's hosting puppetconf. Awesome.

This inverted version of the Enchanted Tiki Room for adults puts the simulated rain in the center of the room rather than outside, and replaces the mechanical birds with a live band.

Just outside the bar there are photos of the Tonga Room space before it was a tiki bar (and the lagoon was a plain old swimming pool).

It's basically the adult version of The Rainforest Cafe. Get a Mai Tai or Zombie before heading out. Also don't order a drink from the bar if you've been seated. They hate that.

It’s a cool spot, but not great for larger groups. I came on a Saturday and was told it would be $15/person for a table, and the money wouldn’t even go towards drinks... not cool!
