Great little local market with amazing pies. Be sure to stop by for lunch on your way down/up the mountains. Lots of snacks to take on your road trip. Love the pot pie. Comes out piping hot.

Tons of market goodies. Drop by on your road trips between California and Nevada to grab a bite to eat and something to drink. They've got a hamburger stand, nuts, veggies, bakery, wine/beer, etc!

En route, bypass the fast-food chains and stop at Ikeda’s, a roadside favorite in Auburn, California. I recommend ordering a slice of Marionberry or French Apple pie. Read more

PIE! Any and all of them. They're a regular stop on the drive back to SF from Tahoe. I've tried apple (French and Dutch), peach and marionberry... All delicious!

I've been coming here since I was little. If you are on your way to Lake Tahoe from SF, this is the place to stop. Pick up some fresh produce or grab a burger. Highly recommended.

Ikeda's has some good, quick food, but the highlight is the market. It's an old style country market with various goodies including a phenomenal selection of pies. Strawberry Rhubarb FTW!

Curly fries are awesome and the burgers have a peppery seasoning in the meat--can't go wrong but next time I'll share! Strawberry-rhubarb pie tasted like jam, I ate two bites and threw it out :(

A definite resting point along Highway 80. Milkshakes, burgers, and market are exceptional. Taste the homemade salsa's that are available for customers to try.

Tri-tip. Just get the tri-tip. Or the crab sando when available. Forget the burgers...they are good but not in the same class as the tri-tip.
