Great places to pick up some treats to take home to friends and family. I especially like the wide variety of chocolate bars offered. Be sure to check out the cafe upstairs too.
A lot of people just stay downstairs which is also fun. They do a lot of seasonal items too (like Halloween themes candies at the moment) but they actually have a bar section as well
Get the cupcake latte from upstairs! It's amazing! Perfect amount of caffeine to perk you up, and the sweetness of a yummy cupcake rolled into one! Be sure to check out the celebrity candy wall too!
Literally like a kid in a candy shop. They have EVERYTHING and more! It's hard not to go crazy with three floors of sweetness so be careful because they charge by the pound and it gets pricey.
Go upstairs to the seating/bar area and grab a candy-inspired adult beverage! Amazing! The best part of being a kid with the best part of being an adult!
One of our many favorite desserts available in this candy bar, the Smore’s bar is made of divine Belgian chocolate and melts with the crunchiness from graham cracker bites & softness from marshmallows
This Upper East Side institution is a wonderland of treats. Not only does it carry over 5000 kinds of candy, but it's got candy-inspired beauty and accessories, too. Read more
Amazing candy selection. They have everything from shirts to iPhone cases. Cocktails are awesome on the second floor. It Can get packed at times but the candy is worth it. (3 of 4 petals via Fondu) Read more

Fun energetic place for both kids and adults. Always busy during weekends and most afternoons. Would suggest trying out the bar upstairs for alcoholic drinks with candy themes!
A great place with loads of candy! Paradise for candylovers! A lot of famous people come here, and a few of the staff will tell you what they buy here!;)
The best place for candy-fanatics. The ground floor is pick-and-mix, the lower level is pre-packaged candy (and souvenirs), and the upper level is the dessert bar. Grab a container, and stuff 'er!
I walk by this place almost everyday and didn't stop by till today. I was like a kid in a candy store literally. The chocolate fountain was pretty and loved how the layout and the candy stairs :)
One might call this place a cathedral of candy. Where a multitude of colors reflect and shine throughout the store like light passing through the stained glass windows of Chartres.
Mason jars by Dani are Incredible disappointment here+dirty sticky floors & non friendly blond reception girl at the second floor. We made on order but she did not allow us to sit at the small table!
This is the only place I've been able to find dark chocolate with sea salt. All other places seem to only have milk choc. Definitely my favorite candy bar ever. Even if it is $5. Totally worth it.
Dylan's is a world of candy! It makes the list due to the fact that there are things here that can help you #eatsexy. Plenty of chocolate around! Find something that you can use to eat off your lover!
More sweets (or Candy obviously ...) than you can shake a stick at. Visit the store near Bryant Park for some good eats and then a nice place to sit and relax afterwards.
It's a candy store, but Dylan's not just for kids! If you can't decide on a candy, try one of their winter drinks. They have a great variety of hot chocolates. Read more
owned/run by Dylan Lauren (Ralph Lauren's daughter). Very unique canybars offered here. I picked up an s'more, malted milk, toffee crunch among others. If you can't find your fav candy from childhoo
Go straight downstairs, to the back. Against the far wall is their selection of legit candy bars from around the U.S. The rest of the building is filler.
Be warned - simply breathing the air in this place could give you diabetes. Seriously, they have all the candy you could possibly want. What could possibly go wrong?
Lots of fun!! You'll have a nostalgia trip looking at the all candy from childhood. If there's a candy out there, they'll probably have it. In addition if you're big on smelling sweet (like a cupcake) Read more
The most difficult skill to master as a parent is 'the art of negotiating' with your child, especially inside the real-life Wonka world that is Dylan's. FACT: kids are naturally skilled negotiators.
The must-visit Upper East Side emporium offers everything from Dylan’s Candy Bar fashion for men, women, and kids, sweets-inspired beauty products, iPhone covers, dog toys and more.
Keep it sugary and sweet with Dylan's Candy Bar. Packed with all kinds of goodies (that will probably rot your teeth) there is a type of candy for everyone.
For a place to eat your snack off premises in nice weather, make a left out the door on 60th for the court yard in front of CPK. Jake likes the Jelly Belly blueberry soda
You've gotta grab some fudge! The Raspberry Cheesecake and Cinnamon Coffee Cake are just two of the best! They let you sample the flavors before you buy too!
It's not just for summer! Hot chocolate love here. Great itinerary: Bloomingdale's, Serendipity III, followed by Dylan's (with a to-go trinket), then FAO Schwartz. Perfect kid day.
A little expensive for the stuff you can get anywhere, but for specialty candy it's great! I found sour gummy cola bottles! And, their cupcakes are from Crumbs, so just go there for more choices.
Go to the bar upstairs for some great cupcakes. It's also surprisingly uncrowded and a great place to relax after you make a Serendipity reservation! (Don't deny it!)
