- Richard R.March 1, 2013A dive in the best sense. Long, crowded, good beer on tap and good music. I used the wheel of indecision to help me pick my second beer. Lends a slight carnival aspect to the night. Recommended!
- Stepan MazurovNovember 1, 2013Awesome small bar that will probably have a beer that will satisfy your desires. Come prepared to sit at a bar. Has some simple bar food if you feel inclined to snack while you enjoy a local brew.
- Katie PritchardDecember 27, 2013Only in Boston a few times a year but make a point to go here, it's just that damn good. Awesome beers and delicious food. And hooks for purses at the bar. Do it!
- All burgers and hot dogs are available veggie style at no extra cost! I got the Bukowski Mad Dog veggie style and it was delicious. Overall a solid bar. Won't find drunken college types here.
- Sonia Q.March 25, 2015Cheap and cheerful. Great selection of beers, and some of the food is pretty good. A little hipster dive bar, bar location is fun but make sure you bring cash! #CashOnly #Boston
- Jake SmithApril 17, 2012You might feel like a sardine, but this is one of the hidden spots if you are a craft beer fan. Order something off of the list that you wouldn't normally and enjoy the atmosphere.
- Rue La LaSeptember 5, 2012Intimate atmosphere for brews and bites, including $2 burgers before 8PM, Monday-Friday. Can't decide on a beer? Have the bartender spin the wheel and choose it for you. Take note: it's cash only.
- James AllenMarch 12, 2014Fantastic range of local, regional, national and international craft beers. Comfortable, friendly diveyness. Great tater tots.
- thoughtbotAugust 31, 2013A tiny spot crammed into the side of a parking garage and perched precariously over the Mass Pike, the bar is two-people wide. Music's usually rocking. Huge craft beer list. Cash-only.
- Jason ColemanJuly 27, 2014This place is great. Bartender found out we were from out of town and without asking made a whole list of places to try. Awesome. Definitely a must.
- Brew YorkJanuary 3, 2012Our favorite beer bar when we're in Boston. Pleasantly divey with great bar food and a staff that knows their craft beer better than anyone. Can't decide on a beer? Spin the wheel!
- Charu DevgunJune 6, 2014Great collection of beer. Good food. All in all an amazing dive bar. Ask for their secret menu of a $2 burger and $1 fries. ;)
- Cole KennedyFebruary 23, 2020The hot dogs are better than dive bar hot dogs have any business being.
- Adam MillerNovember 2, 2015Cash only, but excellent draft beer selection. Nice cozy atmosphere as well.
- Tucked away and cash only. Spin the wheel if you're hesitating!
- Men's Health MagJuly 9, 2012The White Trash Cheese Dip, named for the trailer-park-raised employee who invented it, is a warm blend of American cheese and chilies. Order one for the table to soak up the beer you'll be downing.
- Boston.comDecember 12, 2012Not sure what you want? Spin the beer wheel, cross your fingers, and hope that you land on Port Brewing’s Shark Attack or Ommegang’s Duvel Rustico, rather than Coors Light. You’re stuck with it. Read more
- CJ BareMarch 30, 2013Don't come here looking for cheap beer.... $14 pitchers of PBR. Otherwise a neat establishment, reminds me of something out of Star Wars. Lots of good beer selection!
- Vegetarians: I recommend the veggie "meatball sub": fried balls of eggplant with marinara and cheese.
- Get the MOJO IPA - Delicious. Incredibly beer selection, vegetarian food and always good authentic tunes. They only serve wine and beer. No liquor.
- Courtney CostaApril 22, 2014Come in for their specials! Great beer selection and their food is awesome! Great service also!
- UntappdAugust 20, 2011A dive bar with a killer beer selection. Belly up to the bar and spin the wheel of beer if you dare. You drink what beer it lands on. :)
- Cash only. Great beers. Great bartenders. Don’t be an asshole. Leave a tip.
- BostonTweetJuly 29, 2010Every Monday through Friday Bukowski Tavern on Dalton Street flips $1.99 burgers and hot dogs from 11:30am until 8pm. Bukowski also has one of the best craft beer selections in the Back Bay.
- Mark HimmelsbachMay 16, 2012Have the burger with bacon and peanut butter on it (I prefer the crunchy kind). Trust me, it's delicious.
- IFCJuly 6, 2011Good overall dive bar--good food, service, and bartender as well as a wide beer selection. What more could you ask for?
- Drink a beer you've never had before--like the house BUK pale ale--while staring out at cars flying by on the Mass Pike, beneath one of the glowing blue-neon Bukowski signs in the window.
- If the deep fried banana peppers are on the daily specials, get 'em.
- Jeremy BarkerSeptember 27, 2011A fine specimen of a dive bar. Pro tip: Beware, you could get the undrinkable $15 pumpkin beer if the spin the Wheel of Beer. Read more
- Andrew GreenJune 16, 2013Spin the wheel if your unsure what you want, the largest beer menu in the city.

- G WatkinsNovember 11, 2014Pretty good beer selection, but it's definitely a dive bar... Pretty boring atmosphere IMO.
- Cole KennedyJanuary 20, 2018I dare you to find a bar with as much character. Quirky and irreverent vibe with a stellar draught beer list and good burgers and hot dogs.
- NY Mets Katie ❤️⚾️✈️September 7, 2014I went to bed and didn't see how every night turns out to be a little bit more like Bukowski and yeah I know he's a pretty good read (but! God who'd want to be such an asshole)?!
- Abi PanickerJanuary 12, 2015Dive or not, it had an atmosphere that most people can appreciate, cash only, atm inside, worth going.
- Around Town Shopper ATLANTADecember 6, 2011This is a hidden treasure! Best beer list I've ever seen. Bartenders know their stuff. Just ask.
- CityRover MediaJanuary 6, 2011Bukowski’s does a good job of skirting the Massachusetts ban on happy hour specials by selling “buck burgers” between 4 and 8pm on weekdays. Read more
- Tim SnyderOctober 14, 2013Try the White Trash Poutine Tots. They are truly as addictive as the menu claims.
- Great bar, good food till 1:30 on weekends. Matt K. the cash only sign is right next to the front door and on every menu.
- Samlee G-MinorMarch 14, 2011Great music & wheel of drink fortune (for those time you don't have a clue what to drink but still want to get blitzed!).
- Michael BruyetteDecember 14, 2012Exactly my type of bar. Great craft beers, solid bar food, no douchiness.
- Cash only but there's an ATM. sweet potato fries are amazing (when drunk) but will run you $5 more than regular ones.
