Do you like rooftops, German beer halls, hip club lounges, bar games, pool parties, and amazing haircuts? Well, then you’re in luck, because the Standard DTLA has literally everything you need.
This is a true hipster place and everything about the place is awesome. My favorite so far is the restaurant and the granola breakfast served is delicious
During happy hour, well drinks are $7, select beers are $6 and house wine and Champagne are $5. The view topside and the ping-pong action downstairs are icing on the cake. Read more
The interior hasn't been updated since built 15-years ago but still in immaculate condition. The guest rooms are contemporary and filled with cheeky references. Even men's room is superbly designed.

Funky hotel, left of centre. Can be a little basic and noisy..hence the complimentary ear pugs. Restaurant does good food, however there are some misses...like no bread served with their soup?
From the colorful rooms reminiscent of the swingers era to the hipster-friendly nightlife venues and unrivaled rooftop views, staying here really is and experience within itself. Read more
Nice designer/boutique hotel with valet parking service. Close to Grand Central market and The Broad museum. Ridiculous that hotel guests need to pass 'face control' for their rooftop bar though!
Stay here and you get free entry into the club (2 wristbands per room). The valet parking costs $30 a day but you can park in the LA Central Library car park for $8 a day at the weekend.
Very hip but, in doing so, appears rather cheap. Room is not functional. Terrible wifi. On the upside, the rooftop bar is amazing (but it's always closed for private events!)
Guests of the hotel... Room 414 is extremely noisy on a Saturday evening. If you here for work and need rest in the eve don't stay here, but for a good party time hotel it's great. We would like rest!
Rooftop views are great, but it's not what it used to be. The crowd has changed and it takes about 45 minutes to stand in line and to get in after 9 p.m.
Stayed 5 nights over new year, and found the service appalling, with the exception of cafe and cleaning staff. Room service was all about the up-sell. Concierge barely acknowledged us. Unimpressive.

Enjoy the spectacular views of downtown LA on the rooftop patio. Get warm by the outdoor fireplace or take a dip in the heated pool. Local DJs spin nightly so go bust a move on the dance floor. #vday
Rooftop Bar - check it out on a Sunday afternoon - lazy lounging at its finest. Bar gets hopping late and it rocks. Fireplace, dance floor and red onion-shaped waterbeds to relax and frolic.
Nice place, quite expensive. Disappointing that the housekeepers always forget something: today a bathrobe, tomorrow the glasses, next day both bathrobes and glasses notwithstanding the notes I left.
The Standard, Downtown LA offers a variety of accommodations, and a variety of on-site restaurants and bars. In addition to free Wi-Fi and a rooftop pool with spectacular views, its prime location in downtown Los Angeles puts guests at close proximity to The Staples Center and L.A. Live.
