The Union first opened in 1919 and is still an important campus center! From dining and game rooms, to study lounges and meeting spaces, this building offers a wide range of services for students!
Check out the Wellness Zone in CAPS (3rd floor in the Union). Has 3 massage chairs, a SAD lamp, yoga mats, biofeedback equipment, and Xbox Kinect. Don't need to be a client at CAPS to use the WZ.
The Michigan Union transformed since my days there in the 90s. The lunch shops, basement, and main floor looks different. We went up to the second floor and considered billiards. Still there!
Find the round plaque on the steps in front of the entrance. It marks where President Kennedy challenged students to volunteer in developing countries, leading to the creation of the Peace Corps. Read more
