Stuttgart Hauptbahnhof is quite literally a train wreck of a station. The corruption filled case of "Stuttgart 21" should become a textbook on how NOT to do politics, architecture or traffic planning.

Today only one fruit kiosk left, in the hall, opposite of track 13 & 14, Chiquita, still great with tasty juices. Try the healthy fast food...
There will be a train station in 2022. It will cost over 6.2 billion euros. They call it Stuttgart 21. no, that's it. You can't teleport or so. It's just an expensive train station.

Still under construction. Have several decent stores and cafes but don’t expect a sit-down restaurant.
For food: Moon Pizza near Marienplatz, Pomodoro near rathaus.
Move ahead to Starbucks for coffee - or coffee to go - or coffee in the rail
Get a bier to go or some other random snack from the various shops in the.hauptbahnof.- Yasir KhanApril 9, 2011Sit at the front of the train when arriving here since it is not a go-through station and u'll probably hav to walk a lot to change train. However some platforms hav access to underground passage
- Missing those days that we traveled with steam powered trains . . .
Chris HarberSeptember 25, 2013Sept 2013: to get to tracks 1-10 go to track 11 and walk up. There is construction blocking the platforms usually.

Geld sparen und Gutes tun. Bei Benutzung einiger großer Schließfächer bezahlt man einen Euro weniger (5€). Der Betrag kommt komplett der Bahnhofsmission zugute. Standort: Am Kopf von Gleis 6.
DoSchu SMarch 31, 2015Tipp: Viel Zeit als Ortsunkundige einplanen! Lange Strecken zu S/U-Bahn; Beschilderung sehr lückenhaft (besonders wenn's eilig ist)
Eine ewige Baustelle! Besser mehr Zeit zum Umsteigen einplanen, weil man viele Umwege durch die Baustellen machen muss.
