- Membership pays for itself quickly if you're a family of at least three and your kid(s) likes to be outdoors. The children's zoo part is great for younger kids: covered playground & splash pad!
- With all the new renovations to the elephant exhibit and the previous renovation to gorilla exhibit, the Houston Zoo has only gotten better. If you plan on going, make sure you are there early.
- Incredible zoo, possibly among the best I've been to (I love zoos). Feast with the Beasts is a ton of fun.

- The Africa exhibit is pretty awesome. at the end of it you can feed the giraffes for $5 for 3 big pieces of lettuce at 11am and 2 pm the lightest colored giraffe is pregnant I have her all mine lol

- Once the weather becomes cooler, Weekdays around noon, is the best time to come, not a lot of people and the animals are out.
