Unlike so many convention centers or conference hotels, it's near cool, trendy Austin restaurants. Just walking distance from 6th street and the Austin bats

Pretty standard spacious convention center. What I liked most is the skillful signs to direct you to the correct place. Very helpful when you're lost and need to get to a meeting or a seminar quickly

You don't feel at the end of ur trip that you've seen just a tiny financial district chunk of the city! You get a good sense of some fun parts of Austin even if you're listening to papers from 8am-5pm

Great venue with a lot to do within walking distance. Check out 6th st. and the 2nd st. district for fun and dining. Take the short walk to the Congress Street bridge to watch the bats at dusk.

Parking sucks, but the convention center itself is good. I loved the stars out front with famous Texans like Dr. Denton Cooley and Carol Burnett.

At first I wasn't a fan of moving all the big keynotes to higher floors for SXSWi this year, but in retrospect, helped congestion on main floor a lot.
