It is totally focused on innovative proposals but it is the oldest performing arts center in US ( it opened in 1815). There are great cinema and theatre programs and amazing concerts. Read more

For $7, the BAM Bus is a comfy way to make it back to Manhattan. But you need to reserve 24 hours in advance. Still, if there's room, you should be able to make it on. Read more

Besides the award-winning theatre and dance productions, BAM's also a great place just to see a movie, because usually it's filled with (respectful) film nerds - even new releases.
