Don't pass up the Lyndale Park Gardens: rose, Japanese rock, and a Bird sanctuary nature trail that will take you back to the Lake Harriet Bandshell. Great walking/running path. A little less than 3 miles around. Connects to lake Calhoun near the bandshell.
HISTORYApril 22, 2010The lake was donated to Minneapolis in 1885. There's an "elf house" carved into the base of an ash tree. Try a peppermint bon bon ice cream cone at the Lake Harriet Bandshell refereshment booth. It's delish.
- Buy an Oblique longboard at The Alt and push it around Harriet.
