Tara TaraFebruary 18, 2015My favorite recent experience here was hearing a patron brag that she "hadn't had coffee in such a long time" & watching all of the other patrons (including me) look at her like she was an alien.
Maria SolnechnajaMarch 24, 2016Got packaged coffee- Kenya and Honduras. Coffee tastes great. Tried sticky buns- flavorful, fresh with lots of raisins. Delicious. Great stuff and great atmosphere.
I think this is hands down the best tasting and smoothest coffee in NYC. When they say it tastes like chocolate, cherries, etc., it actually goes. Free drip coffee if you buy a bag.
Coffee : Latte/Cold brew. Unpretentious place. Reliable wifi. Music that doesn't make you want to put headphones on. Don't come here to work on the Week-end, it's loud. WIFI password : gimmesomething

A freelancer's prime spot appears to be by the window, the only seat in the house near a plug. But sitting at the counter lets you hear better stories.

Iced soy latte is the best in nyc. People are great. Much better service than 2nd Stop Coffee (like there's actually someone who pays attention).
This summer, the new hotness is cool.. Ice cold, in fact! Try "The Snowden," it's awesome!

Try the Columbian Finca San Luis. This coffee won the 2012 Good Food Awards. Very tasty as a pour-over.

Best (and maybe the only) cold brew coffee in the area.

Just try the straight-up espresso here. You can thank me later for the tip.
Try the Japanese style iced coffee - it's a little sweeter and lighter.

If it's hot out, get a blended vanilla latte or blended mocha. If it's cold out, get a latte.
