- Justin SchuckFebruary 6, 2011Brunch: "Egg in a hole" is great, yet every time I order it I ask for the grilled hole. Why do they deny all of us the best part of what my mom called "egg in a basket?"
- TrollySeptember 29, 2010Best pub burger I've had in NW, great happy hour specials. They also serve Natty Boh, the best nonlocal local beer around!
- NightSceneNovember 20, 2010This gastropub has a perfect location and atmosphere for a after work drink, meal, or conversation after getting off the metro. After that fact though, nothing else seems to stand out
- Commonwealth scotch flight - can't be beat. Try the new aardvark-sounding scotch (I don't remember the actual name). It's peaty and delicious.
- CJ MSeptember 10, 2009Had a great birthday party here with 15 friends -- great service, yummy food, excellent beer and really nice "semi-private" room. Highly recommend!
- I can happily say that this is amazing British gastropub cuisine. Excellent place w/ great & attentive people working there.
- Tammy GordonJune 23, 2010Must Try: Scotch Eggs, Fried Oysters, Fried Olives, Green Bean Salad. Uses local farm sources.
- I heart the veggie plate! Get it with the mashed potatoes, spinach, and the rest doesn't matter!
- Highly recommend the scotch eggs or the grilled squid w/ black rice
- Chris BrookNovember 4, 2010Happy hour only includes half off American-style pints, not British-style -- just a heads up that isn't made entirely clear.
- Love this place... I can recommend everything on the menu...
- Matthew HurstJuly 21, 2009If you've heard the Fish & Chips are good, they're understating the case. Ask for a cask-conditioned ale to pair with this killer meal.
- $2 natty bo (think bud light) from 10 to 11 - great late night HH
- CJ MSeptember 11, 2009have the Victory Stout and chocolate chunk bread pudding--maybe not together...
