    If you have a two (or more) zone Caltrain pass, you can transfer for free to VTA, but you need to tag your clipper card every time you board.

    While in principle the clipper card saves time, in practice it can be a pain -- esp at rush hour and with few validation stations, and if you need to tag-off before BART transfer at Millbrae.

    Make sure that you remember to tag on if using a Clipper card -- fines are steep, 250usd plus for not having a valid ticket whilst riding.

    if you take 7:57NB, and need parking, arrive before 7:50 am. Parking is difficult to find between 7:50 and 7:56am.

    If you're not on a bike PLEASE keep moving to the next cars!! First car is the bike car and it takes forever to get on waiting for passengers on foot to get on first.

    There are four clipper card readers on each side, but most people seem to use the ones closest to castro street

    If you use Clipper card with monthly pass, and travel out of your monthly pass zones, you'll have to purchase a paper "zone upgrade" from the ticketing machine.

    If you have a bike. You can tell if there is a 2nd bike car by the mirror which sticks out from the top left of the car near the engineer's window.

    if you're on foot don't wait in line with the bikes / if you're biking, line up close to the front of the train. No cutting! Normally 15bikes should be able to get on north after 8

    Ticket automats don't work with foreign credit cards, don't even bother trying. Just have some cash.
