- Alex TsuMay 23, 2017Rare is the Chinese restaurant that successfully caters to both a Chinese and non-Chinese crowd. Chef Chu's is one of that select few. You can't go wrong with their menu!
- EArchitectAugust 12, 2014One of the best if not the best Chinese restaurant in Palo Alto. Try the Hong Kong-style Crispy Pan-Fried Noodles. Delicious!
- DailyCandyDecember 31, 2013"This family-friendly spot near Palo Alto, California, has been a mainstay for more than 35 years. Special family dinner menus for two, three, or five people make ordering a breeze."
- DebbieAugust 2, 2013My grandpa's 90th bday dindin. Food. Was. Amazing! Chef Chu came out for a personal meet n greet. For dessert, hot almond soup with tiny delicately made sesame-filled mochi balls.
- Boyenga TeamJuly 22, 2022I took my family here and we loved it! The broccoli and beef was a close runner up to the lovers prawn but seriously, you can order anything and be satisfied. Big thumbs up from Boyenga Team!
- Cesar FonsecaSeptember 2, 2016Everything is freshly made by authentic Chinese chefs, and you can taste the difference. Always a smarter choice over PF Chang's and others
- Jiading HuJanuary 14, 2017One of the best chinese food in bay area! Peking roast duck is good. You need to call them to ask if available before you go.
- Generals chicken, Kung-Pao chicken and chicken chow-mein are my go to dishes. Each one is great. Service is always superb too!
- Matt RaftApril 4, 2019Avoid “famous” chicken salad. Egg/veggie rolls were great. The duck looked great. Tangerine beef was ok. Service was excellent. Try to visit w/ 2 ppl & choose the inclusive option on back of the menu.
- Linda UngerJune 25, 2011Green beans with garlic sauce, hot & sour soup & friendly welcome make this place a winner! Check out celebs on wall & mention 4 square for nice surprise!
- Lee CollingsDecember 18, 2013Been come here for years. Very good place but can be crowded. Make reserves or get there early. Whole menu is great!
- Bikash MishraJuly 23, 2017The Mongolian beef was delicious but the classic dry braised prawns and the potstickers were a bit of a let down.
- One of my favorites Chinese places in the bay area. Mongolian beef and fried rice are awesome
- Liz DellMay 27, 2013Always solid Chinese, hands down best in Los Altos. Pork buns are delish and the Chef's specials are standouts.
- Aron FletcherJanuary 1, 2014The Hot and Sour soup is the best around! The potstickers , great too! Edwin the bartender is Fantastic!!
- Harsha JagadishApril 25, 2013There are good veggie options too on the menu. I liked the veg pot stickers and the beans with Mapo tofu. Hve fun
- Busy, busy, busy - there's got to be a reason... it's delicious that's the reason.
- Miller SMarch 31, 2013Try the Basil Chicken in clay pot! Spicier than I expected and great complexity in the sauce!
- Nitin MangtaniNovember 24, 2011Try hot & sour soup, clay oven veggies with tofu, pot stickers and lettuce wraps, all available in veggie options.
- My favorite Chinese restaurant hands down. Check it out. You won't regret it. Oh and don't forgot to try the crab cheese puffs. Amazing.
- Chao ma noodles are really good, big scallops and fresh shrimp
- Dinner here tonight. Pepper beef, general chicken, spring rolls and pot stickers. Oh and cocktails. Review: awesome as usual. You really can't go wrong!

- Shaun CramptonOctober 31, 2010Snow white chicken was delicious but very delicate. If you want something more intense best to try a richer sauce.
- Chinese New Year's banquets are always an amazing event with Chef Larry Chu providing play-by-play for the eight-course extravaganza.
- Once again. Another awesome meal at Chef Chus. Really the best in the Bay Area. If you know of a better, please let me know. I don't think it exists ...
