If you're here for brunch, be warned that the croaker is aptly named. Brave men and women have eaten their way through it, but none have successfully sidestepped the food coma that is sure to follow.
Great atmosphere, buzzy, loud and fun. Wed special of Fried Chicken and Waffles $21 was huge and tasty. The salmon was cooked to perfection. Huge range of $7 sundaes so save room.
Fun and hip spot to dine on Moroccan Meatballs, BarSteak or any of their daily specials. We hear the brunch is not to be missed too. And we love the waiters here.
Everything is delicious that I've had here. Plenty of space, lots of action, nice bathrooms, it's like having a suburban nicety smashed into NYC but with the best food.
Can't stress enough the amazing service and hospitality here. Had the fries, eggplant rings, and great desserts to die for (sundae and huge chocolate chip cookies). Great place for cocktails as well!
Their potato waffle creation is unbelievable. Get mac & cheese for the table! Also, a very nice touch: the milk that comes with your coffee is warmed & frothed.
The lambschnitzel sings with flavor, and you get two massive slabs poised on a potato salad zapped with French grebiche sauce, laced with mustard and capers. Read more
Classic and definitely a favorite for a big group of people or a small one. Not cheap but totally worth it for a really good, fun, dinner. I don't eat string beans but their fried ones are to DIE for.
The Smith has a little bit of everything. You can get Swedish meatballs and lamb Milanese one night, then come back for ahi tuna salad and vegetablebibimbap the next. Read more
The whole experience was amazing: food, drinks and especially attentiveness of our waitress Jessica who was incredible! Knowledgeable, attentive (just when we needed), very passionate and positive! A+
Neighborhood gem with awesome atmosphere and good food. Usually crowded during weekends and dinner. Best to come for lunch and get a Cesar salad or squid ink pasta. delicious but a bit greasy
Egg dishes are great, but the boiled spinach side dish is on the salty side. Afterward visit downstairs and to enjoy the photobooth and the hole in the wall playing black and white smut movies.
The Smith serves up a variety of Bennys with a twist throughout their handful of locations in Manhattan. We loved the classic, prime rib, and fried countrysteak varieties.
Enjoy a complimentarybrunch cocktail with any breakfast entree on Sundays. If you're getting breakfast, get the Biscuits + Gravy. They'll change your life.
Any of the salad choices is superb, especially the so-called knife and fork Caesar salad, which has a transportingly good vinaigrette, and huge, cheese-embedded croutons. Read more
Order an Allagash White at the bar. The Mac & Cheeseappetizer really is that good; comes crusted in a cast iron pan. I wish they gave you chips with the tuna tartare but it's still delicious.
Cool atmosphere and tasty food. Wildly inaccurate cooking of my steak, asked MedRare, came out MedWell. Redo steak was Rare. But very nice staff and all dishes still enjoyable.
Their cocktails are great! This place is versatile, good for any occasion - brunch, bar snacks and drinks, date, group dinner, it can handle it. Good food, good service.
It's all about the cheese here. Start w/ Hot Blue Cheese Potato Chips (as decadent & fabulous as they sound!) & end with Mac & Cheese (one of the greatest renditions of this classic dish ever made).
Oysters, Mac & Cheese and Kale salad are all incredible! I've never had anything I don't like here. Don't forget to hop down to the photo booth before you leave!
Highly recommend this place - one of the best restaurants I've eaten at. Really great atmosphere and the food is delicious (we had mussels and the steak).
The food here is consistently great. However, I recently ordered a Moscow Mule and it was subpar. No copper mug, and watered down. Don't let this one blemish deter you though. One of my fav places.
get the brussels sprouts. and ricotta gnocchi with white truffle oil. they're like crack. just better. trust. (on the real, though, the ricotta gnocchi is ah-mazing. best gnocchi in my life).
Awesome Sunday brunch spot - definitely order the donuts with fudge sauce to share! Make a reservation for the afternoon, since there's no alcohol served before 12pm.
Cool, relaxed atmosphere - perfect for brunch. The crown jewel is the cheddar biscuit- not to be missed. The bar is also a great meeting spot for a pre/post- dinner drink. —Landon
The place has amazing outdoor seating. The interior is reminiscent of French. The dishes are light, soups are filling. The service is professional. Definitely enjoyed the experience.
Went looking around the East Village for a good burger. Despite many other places dedicated to them, The Smith has a darn good one - hefty and savory with a strong bun to keep it all in check. Will
