Like others have said. Go knowing what you want bc the staff here are clueless and will give an excuse for being too lazy to check the back for more stock. And people wonder why we shop online now.
How do they make money? I find tiny things in sale bins - needed but NOT high on shopping list or why i went there. Then i buy what I need on Amazon & get it in 2 days. Average Fry's purchase $25. ??
I'm told customer service here sucks. but where else can you find telescopes, microscope, drones, As seen on Tv products and robot vacuums all under one roof IRL?... Exactly.
Before going to Fry's, you should research exactly what you want. The employees are generally uninformed and will sell you everything you don't need if they can. Don't get "Fried"!
"pick up in store": 2/4 not available and swapped with a more expensive substitute. Took **20min and 3 cashiers** to check me out with rebates to match the online price.
Have to agree w/others. If you know what you need, great! If you need help, you're screwed. But sure missed this place when I lived out of state. I'm glad to have Fry's again!
Its Fry's... They have things but the employees are so depressing. The need a specialist desk and just pay them fairly! Stop dressing them in cheap uniforms, train them, support employee happiness!
As long as you know what you're getting, this is the best place to shop. Otherwise bring a really nerdy tech geek who knows what they're talking about.
Terrible service here. Asked for help, just told me a row number and that was it. Didn't even try to extend help to regards in what I needed or made sure I found what I was looking for.
Guy at the software counter with the nasty sweat stain around your white collared shirt, sorry that I asked for your help. I shoulda known better because most people at Fry's hate doing their job.
56 registers - two are open. Security alarm going off while employees stand around chatting; and brick and mortar stores wonder why they are going out of business...
Self coined term: Fried or Fry'dDefinition: When you experience poor service by their staff. I.E. waiting in the return line, waiting to get help for a product, waiting to buy, and leave!
Don't let the sales people force a sales quote on you unless they actually helped you. Why should they get credit for the sale when they didn't do anything but stalk your shopping cart?
If you return something and they ask "Are you going to keep shopping?" SAY NO and get your cash. Their return slip is worthless if you leave the store. I lost $70 because they don't track this.
Fry's was founded as a Silicon Valley retail electronics store to provide a one-stop-shopping environment for the Hi-Tech Professional in 1985. Fry's Electronics will match internet prices in store! See this link for details. http://bit.ly/frysmatch
