The queso was delicious and of course all of the tacos. You can't go wrong here, just throw a dart at the menu and enjoy (but also wash it down with Mexican coke!)
Missionary Style- Green chili pork. (From the secret menu) Carnitas, pickled onions, guacamole, jack cheese and cilantro, chipotle sauce - two-tortilla tandem. Ask by name as it's not on the menu!
My first trip to the famed taco spot. Fried avocado taco and fried chicken taco "trailer park" made "trashy", plus a side of chips & queso. I'll be dreaming about it until next year's trip back.
Live north of the Mason-Dixon Line? Be sure to order the Trailer Park (trashy, if you like queso cheese) and the Dirty Sanchez for Breakfast - it's perfect after a late-night bender!
The Green Chile Pork taco was honestly the best taco I’ve ever had! Also enjoyed The Democrat. Nice that there’s a covered space if you don’t want to sit outside.
The original Torchy's Taco Trailer is both a destination and a landmark. Fabulous, enormous tacos filled with inventive and excellent "Texican" filling combinations, with shady outdoor seating. Read more
Excellent tacos, high quality ingredients, creative toppings & salsas. The breakfast tacos are great, the carne asada not greasy at all. Salmon black bean taco highly recommended!
Fried avocado taco on the flour taco and guacamole are more than amazing & the prices are very affordable. Very highly recommended. I can just come to Texas for this.
Possibly the best taco ever and they have the hardware to prove it. Add a firewater cocktail or some fried avocado to any dish, and make sure to thank us later. Read more
'The Independent' taco was so colorful with freshness bursting out of it. The flavors were nothing shy of amazing. The cilantro on 'Green Chile Pork' taco made the whole thing. Also affordable!
The Migas breakfast taco, fried avocado, and beef fajita are my favorites. But really... you can't go wrong. Don't forget the side of green chile queso!
Do not pass go. Forget the menu. Just order two Green Chili Pork tacos and an ice cold Topo Chico mineral water in an old style glass bottle. Take number, sit under the oaks, await taco greatness.
Torchy's has an awesome selection of tacos and uses GREAT cuts of meat. I had the carne asada taco with the spiciest salsa and loved it. And the chips are fresh and hot!
This is hands down the best taco truck ever! The sweet street corn blows any elotes out there by far! The Mr Pink is an ahi tuna taco and the Trailer Park is the friend chicken taco.
I've changed my former opinion because I'm obsessed with the fried avocado tacos. Also, best queso in town. BYOB and FYI they are often out of Diet Coke.
The O.G. Torchy's. PRO TIP: Ask for the Mad Cow (beef fajita, black beans, grilled corn) or Missionary-style Pork (carnitas, guacamole) off their secret menu.
Humanity has maxed out its taco capabilities with Torchy's. It's scientifically and physically impossible to make a better taco. I defy the nay-sayers.
For first timers I recommend the republican or democrat but if this is your second trip try the missionary style pork and jack of clubs from the secret menu.
The Jack of Clubs: A fried egg, potatoes, black beans, crisp corn tortilla strips, shredded cheese, cilantro, sour cream & diablo. Served on a flour tortilla. Read more
It's almost a cliche to recommend Torchy's in Austin, but the local chain has earned that recognition with creative combinations that stand out in a city full of tacos. [Eater 38 Member] Read more

Try the monthly special. Right now it's the Washington. It was so good my usual taco (fried avacado) was jealous. Don't worry! You're still my precious!
Go for the baja shrimp taco for the perfect amount of flavor and spice to make any tummy happy. Plus, with the green chile queso you can never go wrong!
