First timers should always try the "Trust me" - a great assortment sampler - a perfect meal. Then, I also recommend the large scallopsushi and the eel. Did you know Nozawa makes his own Soy Sauce!
Really good sushi. All of it top quality. I kind of long for this style of sushi when I'm in NY. Get the Trust Me and then if you still want more pick ala carte. All of it is excellent.
Trust me lite is my go-to, but make sure to try the albacore belly. Doesn't get better than that! Austin, Monica, Will, the whole staff is incredibly friendly. They more than earn their 16% grat.
The "Trust Me" combinations are all pretty amazing overall. The disjointed nature of their delivery created a touch of anticipation and satisfied hunger with every plate they brought.
The sushi here just melts in your mouth! The tips they give you about what pieces to add (or not add) the different sauces are worth heeding. Your mouth will be happy you came!
Yeah, I know I'm basic but it is really good. Just order the Trust Me, I had the mid-sized one and was properly full afterwards. Really fun to have multiple courses come out at once.
Trust. Lives up to the hype. Don't like to automatically pay at on top of the %16 tip? Order to go, sit by fountain outside…and tip the friendly staff as you see fit.
The highest quality sushi on the west side. Not your normal spot though, very selective menu and no special requests. They make new rice every 30 minutes! No reservations so plan on a wait
The fish is high quality and the rice is also amazing. A high value sushi place. They are either understaffed or disorganized as many orders come out wrong and there are avoidable mistakes.
Busy location, limited seating & TERRIBLE parking BUT the fish is fresh and melts in your mouth! Friendly service. Salmon, amazing Toro & Blue Crab hand rolls. Order the "Trust Me" or a la carte!
Pro: quality of fish was outstanding and service was friendly. Con: rice was a little warm for my liking and one batch was a bit too sour. The "trust me" omakase set was a good deal.
First time here with one other person? Split the "Nozawa." After your finished, order separate portions of your favorite stuff! The sushi here is some of the best and most fresh I've ever had!
Trust me: You'll love it! I lived in Japan a year & this is in my top five sushi places. Love the simplicity and the warm rice with delicate sauces. Just TRUST Nozawa! He does it uniquely right!
Remember you dont have to order a omakase per person. Wife and i just shared the nozawa just to try the place out. Not bad. Kind of a better quality sushi boy to be honest...
Sushi is good. Expect to pay a good price. The big travesty is that there's no connectivity of any kind inside. OK if you're with friends or fam but hard to have a solo meal & read the news.
Food was really good. Not the place to go if you are hungry or on a budget, but if you like good sushi and don't mind having limited options, its a slam dunk.
Everything I got was extremely fresh. The food here is terrific. If you are a sushinut, I would look elsewhere though. The rolls were too basic for my liking. It's a pricy meal, too.
The waiters will politely tell you that the chef does not appreciate sashimidipping into the soy sauce. And he is right, the sashimi taste is too good just by itself.
Formulaic. Fish, rice, nothing else in the sushi, so while one could argue it's purist, it lacked creativity. Supposed omakase "don't think about it" is not - everyone's that night is identical.
